I draw country-humans. Sometimes I cringe at this.

Humanitarian Aid to North Korea During the "Arduous March". In the 90s, there was a famine in North Korea and "enemy" countries (the USA, South Korea, etc.) supplied humanitarian aid in the form of food, while the main North Korean slogan was "self-reliance."

Methamphetamine is popular in North Korea and is considered a good gift for the Lunar New Year.
Officially, North Korea has its own ideology, Juche. However, the country is a descendant of communism.

Soviet invasion of Manchuria. In 1945, the USSR attacked and routed the Japanese army on the mainland. It was after this that Japan surrendered unconditionally. Before the defeat of the Kwantung Army, Japan had hoped for a negotiated settlement.

Demilitarization. De facto, the national flag of Japan was the flag with a circle (Hinomaru). The flag with rays (the Rising Sun flag) was the flag of the Japanese Imperial Army (do not confuse it with the flag of the navy, where the center of the sun is shifted to the left; it is still used). The Rising Sun flag is a symbol of Japanese militarism, which is why the character Japanese Empire has exactly the flag with rays on his face; its use was banned after the war.
