I feel like I'm going to rip my goddamn hair out girlies. How on earth do you draw characters interacting? I feel pretty okay on posing a solo character, but somehow everything I know goes out the window when a second person enters the canvas.

I try to draw from reference, but since my typical fujo subject matter needs adjustment for body type and height, I juggle and bluster between stylizing, keeping my proportions right, and not following the reference too literally.

I struggle with this as well, anon, but the trick really is to STUDY STUDY STUDY until you feel comfortable with altering to alter your models according to their body type and height. You can also help yourself further with 3D models, etc.

Trace when need be to understand the underlying forms (no, you're not cheating. You're reverse-engineering). If you feel like you've cheated, just redraw the whole thing using the references and your newfound knowledge you've gleaned from tracing. Hope I've helped a bit!

The story is an exploration of these themes and their relationship, for now.

I think all of them work, but what comes to mind for me is mostly the 3rd point. My preference is to draw women that look plain or relatable with men that are impossibly beautiful kek. Like the inverse of what many moid artists draw. I like to imagine fantasy worlds where women feel no pressure to be attractive. Mostly a mix of 1 and 2

I hate webtoon/tapas because they are both predatory, IP-grabbing conglomerates, but, if you don't mind that, either will probably get you the most visibility. However, I am at least 90% they have stipulations on how NSFW your comic can be (i.e. if you have excessive blood/nudity, you will have to censor them in a way that makes it look natural, etc.)

Oops it's actually just called the "1-Day improvement method" in his "Fastest ways to improve illustration" book. Basically, for 13+ hours you have to keep making rough sketches (you mustn't finish any of them and keep going no matter what) to exhaust your brain, forcing it to drop bad habits and enter peak "just draw" singularity.

This is Vince the Velociraptor. He is the brains behind operations and acts as the island's host. He's often accompanied by compies who help him educate/entertain guests and keep tabs on things around the island (like mini security.) He spends the little free time he has flirting with rich old ladies at the gift shop and buffets. Also, most of the people (not visitors) on the island travel on raptors, but he drives around in expensive luxury cars. He also has a gimmick where he rams his jeep into whatever evil-doer is on the island before they can do anything because he has 1-gorillion velociraptor IQ. His favorite fruits right now are grapes and watermelon. His favorite food is sushi because it's raw, and he prefers to drink water.

Also thinking abt Dino Girl lore I think she can talk to dinos and they're all her friends by default. Anyways I have more characters, but I'll post those another time. So in the meantime, just hear me out: Pterodactyl water skiing

Hmmm... when I design a character, my usual go-to is to start adding in the least saturated colors as base colors and work from there (though I don't always adhere to this rule).
I think you're on the right track with muting the colors, but don't be afraid to play around with what you like as well.

Colors aside, it's a little difficult to judge a character from a sketch alone. Character design is a *very* iterative process and rarely do beginners get the ideal design they want from the getgo-- it took me years to get some of my characters' designs juuuuuuuuust right. You'll certainly get there with time, patience, and, of course, drawing!

I’m no character design expert but when I design a character I like to repeat patterns (like using a moon shape, or circle or arrows) this way you send a clear message on what your characters main thing is
Also I keep the 60/30/10 rules in mind and I like to add bullshit symbolism to make the design pop out more in a sort of uncanny valley of clothing(not too absurd but not normal enough)
I can’t really recommend a book because I haven’t find a good one myself just yet
