Is anyone else lonely?
For this drawing I used a reference photo of a young man, most likely taken in the mid century. I'd like to go for a swim with him. He'd probably be really good at talking face to face and I bet he'd have that "old people" accent that your grandparents have and his mind is free from corruptions and anxieties except maybe about wars and nukes but I bet he only worries about them when he wants to and not because it's in his face and in his ears 24/7. I bet it'd feel like a breath of fresh air just to be in his presence.
Well, he's dead. Or dying. But I feel like he's the one moving on from me while I'm dissolving in the dirt.

I don't know about other people but for me loneliness is like a harp that I can play for myself.

Why are you lonely
>>
You're just romanticizing him and his life. You could live the same experiences now, but you prefer to feel sorry for yourself. Sorry, but it's the harsh truth. The only obstacle between you and the life you desire is the lack of real action to reach these lifestyle goals.

I just wanted to say I really like your art, I think it's cute and fun and I like seeing you around in different threads.
I hope that you can get through the loneliness, maybe look for some irl art classes or similar places where you can meet people who share your interests. Hang in there!

Yeah pity is a powerful drug, sadly this place is full of it, changing your media diet helps because who you hangout with shapes you (your brain can't tell the difference between simulation and reality). I'd recommend leaving, making a point to visit a bunch of discords/reddits for 30 mins a day so you can shovel through the shit which are these sites to find the one you're most comfortable in and learn to live in a less hostile environment than here.

I'd go as far as to say that nothing will help more than meeting people irl and avoiding online "places" as much as possible. Any sort of online communication is just a cheap substitute and it really highlights what is missing, for me at least.

True, that's the ultimate goal, but one step at a time. You have to become tolerant of people you don't like especially if you want money from people. Have you interacted with people who are willing to pay for art? It's better to get that 'ick' feeling out online than being ambushed by it. If OP is up to it then skip all that go to your local artstore and see if they have a billboard for events, or talk to people there.
