Do people in your country get upset if lights are left on?

Imagine wasting electricity for no reason, no matter how much money you make.
Turn off the fucking lights when you leave the room dummy.

I always thought the concept of smart appliances was retarded, except for things like lights
imagine wearing a wristband or something along those lines that told the lights in your room when you're gone or coming back
instead we have rumbas selling your floorplan data, fridges bricking themselves, and LED lights that you need to pay a subscription to change colors

I mean, you can already to do that if you bundle your lights with photosensors. Don't even need to wear a wristband or ever see your lightbulbs on the router.

yes and when I see someone left the light on I get annoyed and say ''well why do it yourself when you can just let someone else do it'' to myself while I turn it off

You're being facetious but in a country like France where power is produced responsibly and in the most eco-friendly way possible (nuclear) "wasting electricity" really isn't a thing
Especially given modern hyper efficient LED lights
