My point still stands, owning physical copies of every single official Touhou Music CD is a pretty big deal and far from casual, the Touhou fans on /jp/ who could claim such a thing you could probably count on one hand. Most would just have pirated copies.
I myself once owned every single official ZUN music CD, but I haven't really bothered to buy the new ones.

Hunting down physical copies of all the official music cds means you know how to import Touhou products from Japanese websites, that's not a casual thing. The average modern Touhou fan can't do more than buy a fumo from Amiami.
Having merely listened to ZUN's theme, Innocent Treasures, which is only on the CDs, already puts you on the upper echelon of Touhou fans.

This is the only part I'd push back on, if only for the fact that some of the deeper cuts on lore come from a variety of music commentary, of which the CD's are absolutely included but are not exclusive, but also the databooks which I hesitate to give an exact percentage but I'd say at least half of the things people know as a fun fact like the Dragon God I'm still fucking pissed he wasn't in 20 man come from there, or are just random statistical tidbits like how I believe Marisa technically has more appearances in the series than Reimu on a route-by-route basis due to her being featured in more endings. At least at some point in the series? That might be a statistic that hasn't been relevant in 10 years. But really, the deepest part of the CD's come from the Hifuu girls, but that's less of it being a part of the deeper lore of the series as a whole and more like that it's just primarily where the stories of those two are found. It'd be like saying CoLA is has the deepest dredges to dig up from the surface... which actually might also count so maybe that's a horrible example?

Either way I hope my point is making sense and that I'm really only trying to get you on a technicality, but otherwise I agree with the rest of your posts.
