>All submissions must be in .PNG format
>All submissions (digital and analog) must have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.
That's going to lead to huge file sizes if someone goes for traditional art.

Double-checking and it's not to the degree I thought. This drawing is 2.3 megabytes as a jpg. As a png it's 12.4 to 8 depending on how much you crop it. It's too big for 4chan but not too big in general.

Am I allowed to write about how much I hate my neighbors flooding the air with that stinky shit and the way in which my favorite youkai girl slowly devours them?

I've played touhou high so many times I can't count them. Specifically PCB LNB. I had a habit of getting high, playing a game or two of PCB, and then getting on with whatever I felt like wasting my time on.
I think there definitely are unique experiences to be had with playing touhou high. Everything feels different, but it's not like being drunk, you are in control of what happens on the screen. Having played most windows games high, I can only say from my own experience that it's not too different from being really, really involved in the game. You just are more aware of everything involved in the experience, from the sound effects to the music to the danmaku to the sprite in front of you and the dialogue it's speaking.
I guess my view seems like a reductionist one, but really it's an experience I would recommend to anyone able to have it. My love for my favourite games has only increased as a result, and I really haven't had any negative experiences aside from literally not being able to play the games. It's very difficult to put experiences into words or even recall them in the first place. Repeating myself, if you have the chance to experience your favourite touhou games while high, I recommend you try it!
This is an entry to your zine, I guess. It's not a shitpost.

I havent done it in half a decade now but from what I can recall it is very relaxing and enhances stimuli making it very pleasurable in some cases. I remember I spent hours listening just to Ghost Lead spirit version for hours because I got so into the rhythm I didnt want to stop listening to that track while imagining I was taking a ride on a steam train at high speed. Also if there is good company around, the situations to get in with friends are pretty memorable.
The thing affects people differently, but in my experience I have had pretty satisfying and fun moments. I quit though for the most part, mostly because of time and health concerns

I see, if you don't mind me asking, what were the health concerns?
I heard it could potentially trigger psychosis if you have schizophrenia or some related mental illness running in your family.

Psychosis is just a symptom or mental state you are in though. See it as a temporary ailment. Now what concerns me is smoking because smoking anything will fuck up you lungs and weed being legal in various places has opened proper studies for it and there are risks of triggering schizophrenia.
Luckily for me I got to use when I was already an old fuck according to internet standards so my brain was already fully matured unlike a teenager or someone in the early 20s which is around the age the weed induced schizophrenia begins. Still though, all drugs carry risks and the best way to avoid risks is not taking them.
I rather get drunk nowadays

op here
i wouldn't say it is romanticized at all. in fact the reaction towards it is always extremely negative outside of shitposts in social media and the very few irl places where it's legal. in spaces like ours, yes, it is seen as a jokey and lighthearted subject compared to meth/heroin; the reasons behind this can be: cannabis can be easier to access (you can grow it yourself) and is fully decriminalized in some places, its consumption is a common cliche/passage rite of rebellious adolescence, and many people have had positive experiences with it for the management of chronic pain or similar conditions. all this adds to the perception in online spaces.
of course, this perception has changed throughout the ages. historically, cannabis consumption and hemp artisanry has been a mainstay of human activity for thousands of years and hemp in particular was been important throughout the early history of human civilization and it played a part in religions such as shinto. some ritual items like shimenawa used to be made of hemp fiber and the asanoha hemp pattern itself has been used in japanese fashion for centuries.
in modern japanese history, it can be argued that the recreational consumption of cannabis (along with other substances ofc) played a role in the development of their post-war music industry. it certainly helped give birth to signature music albums such as "satori", and haruomi hosono's inspiration for what would eventually become yellow magic orchestra famously came from a bad trip he had after smoking a blunt.
of course, since the post-war era began it has become a very polarized topic due to the complex power struggles behind its legalization. it is more profitable for the shadowy figures behind the scenes to keep it illegal and unregulated. the whole story is too long to retell here, there's a racial aspect to it (the "reefer madness" hysteria) coupled with the us fight for global hegemony which involved certain types of activists and peace corps volunteers inundating entire countries with the substance with the purpose of political destabilization and establishment of a lucrative and illegal drug market
now, it is true that there are legitimate mental health concerns to be held about it. but ironically, legalization would allow for those concerns to be properly addressed. i personally don't consume weed anymore because of the aforementioned mental health concerns. but honestly, i just wanted to gather people to draw something fun and unserious for once. also japanese weed is infamous for being really shit so that makes it even funnier in my mind

Anything familiar and somewhat streamlined. To me the mainline games are both and offer so much on top of that, which makes them really ideal. Aside from the official games, I've had a lot of fun playing the busy person games and touhou doom. Nothing has me enthralled like playing the mainline games though.

I always feel very focused but really my ability to read patterns takes a hit. My dodging tends to bail me out though unless I'm really baked. It's hard to say how I really perform given how in the moment most of the time I feel like I'm playing super well lol. Generally I'd say I play slightly worse than normal.
You really notice the difference though when you play sober again and regain that little bit of lost skill. I guess it makes sense that it would be the reverse, it doesn't feel that special but everything seems a little easier.
