I created the Galatea Multipurpose Companion Maid Robot. It is designed to be an IRL robo-maid girl. Local AI means you can talk with her, and she has actual practical uses. Her current version is v3.0.8
I intentionally designed her to be easy to build with the instructions. I hope you find her cute!

We will have lifelike, "companion" bots within the next 5 years. Not to just to do your chores, but actually be a true friend with benefits, and she;ll always be yours no matter what. 5 years. I guarantee it.

Thanks Greertech. I've been active before in /robowaifu before real life obligations caught up to me. I was pleasantly surprised discovering this project and it's far advanced as far as what a single person on a budget can do.

Now one of my prerequisites for a robowaifu is that she's soft. Unfortunately importing a gallon of Smooth-On in my country costs close to a thousand dollars; with that price I might as well import a torso or sexdoll from China (which is now at the forefront of both robotics and sexdolls, if not AI). So I'm now in /ona awaiting my first deliveries, after which I'll look to some reverse engineering especially since there are so many "features" which are just burdensome and could be removed for more practical designs that can be roboticized. E.g. a torso can be attached to robot prosthetics, the problem is if you do that with a realistic torso it would look ghastly, and even the anime models look too 3D. Mozu doll (RIP) had the best look in that transition space.

How about TPE?

3d print a BJD skeleton. Make the middle of each section skinny so you can wrap it in a 3d printed TPE lattice. Then wrap in cast silicone. That way you get the weight and mobility of a BJD with the softness of a normal one.
