Well yeah techincally Indians are asian but in reality no one counts them. Its like how technically Latinos are americans but no one calls them that. The only time people remember indians are asians is to count them as "Asian Criminals" in crime statistics in UK or something. Or self hating indians who want to pretend that they are not brown.

Also, Indian birthrate is declining too, just like everywhere else in the entire world. Its not as drastic as the first world countries yet, but still. This is a trend that the whole world is following.

You could ask the same of the Victorian British, or the Chinese, or anyone. There are enough people WITH time and WITH money for it to all balance out. Balance in a way that's painful for a lot of people, but balanced
