But more to answer the actual question: no, I see those characters as distilled ideas/archetypes, both in looks and in how they act, so they are more aesthetically pleasing than 3dpd. Yet having impossible standards isn't the same as having different orientation.

2d girls aren't necessarily flawless, especially once we factor in their characters. Just to pull from Touhou, plenty of jerks and dubious personalities. It's more about how those flaws manifest differently in 2d than in 3d, more openly and coherently. 2d women, while still potentially surprising you, have more stable identities than 3d ones, which might be point of attraction.

I'm exclusively a chubby chaser and sometimes I wonder if that makes me queer. I am not into a skinny woman at all, as in a skinny woman is no more attractive to me than a guy. Apparently a lot of people in middle/high school thought I was gay (I'm in one of the least obese states)
