I mean, at least they don't also watch Danny Phantom or whatever the fuck that is.

>>
>>64917180
Ah yes, how could I forget the """training""" video where he shot like 50 shells and hit like 4 water jugs
>>
>>64917180
Is that the guy that killed his coworkers in a grocery store?
>>
The provided example is one (1) degenerate who bought 2 pistol gripped shotguns because of their resemblance to an earlier shooters weapon. He would've just bought the cheapest shit he could find that looked cool, OP.

Yes. He was a total idiot.

Yeah
>>64917206
Its strangest to me that he bought presumably a backup of something as reliable as a pump action
>>
>>64917222
for the same price he could've gotten a handgun, which functions better as a backup weapon anyways. he was a retard with his money.
>>

>trying to rationalist the actions of a shooter
>>
>>64917245
He was a retard in general, did you see him shoot?
>>
>>64917264
yeah. i don't understand how someone can be so not self aware, he should've cut the video up to show only the hits.

>have an A designation model 500 Mossberg, still runs wonderfully and don't have to give a rat's ass about Turkshit
Feels really good, man.
>>
>>64917270
Well then it'd be too short to even be a tik tok
>>
>>64917276
>A designation
Please explain. First long gun I bought 20 years ago was a 590 Marinecote, still have it.
>>
>>64917309
i think it just means a thicker barrel, i've got a 500 persuader and a 590a1
>>
>>64917309
It was just caliber
500a 12 guage
500b 16
500c 20
500e 410
>>
The reason they stopped doing stuff like the 500 then letters that informed you and went to just 500 was ease of production. If you have spare 500a rollmarked recivers laying around you cant just shove 20 gauges barrels in them and sell it cause the rollmarks now wrong.
Currently the 500m means magfed.

8 round shotguns are cringe also
>shotgun literally designed from the ground up to be a budget option for a budget brand

The mossberg 500 is to the remington 870 what the remington 700 was to the winchester model 70. Then the problem got exacerbated by mitt romney buying remington and driving it into the ground in some bizarre hebrew ritual that somehow made him money

>Mossberg 500A (introduced in 1974): The Mossberg 500A is an updated version of the original Mossberg 500, with a few minor improvements. It is available in the same barrel lengths and stock options as the original, and is suitable for the same applications.
https://wooxstore.com/blogs/woox-journal/mossberg-500-history
it's just an updated model. The current Mav 88s, safety aside, are more similar to the original mossberg 500s than the current 500s are because they started upgrading the 500 line after they bought mav arms

it's for close up and personal. it's not a rifle

Link?

Yes and shot some thirty or more shots trying to hit three people ircc.
>>
>>64917762
rifles also work up close and personal
>>
>>64917807
it doesnt have the spray of striking a target. its a trade off. more power but narrower strike ability.
shot guns can drop two in one shot alone. or at least them for the kill shot. an ar is going to penetrate through walls and kill someone's pet or child across the street

I wanted a shockwave so bad when they came out
then the gunstore guy convinced me to go for the tac14 on the spot, no idea if I should regret that decision or not, basically the same thing just -1 in the tube and can feed mini-shells without that insert the shockwave needs

>>64917180
I've never seen a Mossberg fanboy, don't doubt they exist though. Pump shotguns used to be a tossup between 870 or 500. My old 870 express is going strong. The ones before Remington shutdown were shit. Are there any aside from Mossberg making a decent pump or is it all turkshit or gimmick now?
>>
>>64918729
I don't think anyone is making pump guns in the US that are at the same price point as mossbergs. the mossberg 500 was supposed to be the budget option compared to the 870. Like a winchester model 70 is better than a remington 700 but the 700 was less expensive so it sold better. I think someone owns ithica and someone owns the remington gun ip and they are producing really low volumes of pump guns that are probably better than mossbergs. I think savage and mossberg are both making semi autos in the $1,000+ price range in the US. Henry has like $600 single shots and then everything else is either low volume bespoke shit like the conneticut shotgun stuff or it's chink/turk/mexican/yuro shit or japanese. Shotguns are just so unpopular in current year the mall ninja shit outsells hunting shotguns and they are so low volume and easy to import foreign labor shotguns just dominate the market. it's why mossberg has mexican guns and is now importing turkshit
>>
>>64917909
>>64917890
No shot when I was a little lad and had never loaded or fired a shotgun yet, I thought that is how they went in the gun and the brass part was the projectile and the crimp was ignited by a little spark plug
>>
>>64917180
I'd've killed myself too if I got to be a lesbian goth ghost afterward.
>>
>>64917860
I have a shockwave and it didn't need anything inserted for the mini shells so your gunstore guy probably needs to hit the books or internet search again. Its a fun gun but very impractical for anything more than range fun and maybe camping your doorway in a break in scenario.

I don't regret the purchase though, me and my friends have a blast with it at their yard and the mini shells are abundant and super cheap where I live. One likes it so much they wanted their own until they saw that the semi auto version existed and now that's what they are dumping their tax return on.
>>
>>64918832
It's basically an any% AGP speedrun
>>
>>64918784
Didn't know Mossberg is importing shit too. Shame.
>>
>>64919010
I think only the mav line are imports
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2eYNDR9tVS0
as far as I know everything that says "mossberg" is made in the US. But yeah, the mav semi autos are turkshit
>>
>>64917180
Mossberg owners are the childrenchildren of shotgun owners because it's something you buy on your 18th birthday just for the sake of buying a gun for the first time
>>
>>64919095
No, mav is mexican, the turk stuff is some other lines.
https://www.google.com/search?q=mossberg+made+in+turkey

The 500, 590, and 940 are US made.

they aren't for sale yet. the Mav 88 is made in mexico. the mav SA is made in turkey

>>
>>64919278
Ah gotcha. Imagine if the mav sa is reliable, durable, etc for like $300. I could forgive a turk gun if so.
>>
>>64919119
yeah no shit, it's been the cheapest American made pump gun for decades
>>64919453
I'm pretty sure the thought process at mossberg is anyone buying their turkshit shotgun is 100% not going to shoot more than like 200 rounds over the lifetime of the gun
>>
>>64918729
The three real choices for pump guns rn are the Mossberg, and the Benelli Nova. The Nova is made in Italy.

Apparently the BPS was discontinued in 2024, what an awful timeline.
>>
>>64917194
>>64919278
Just don't buy the Turkish shotgun, the Maverick 88 still mogs Remshit and Turkshit.

>>64919262
Maverick is partially outsourced to Mexico but finished in their Texas plant.

>>64917222
Spree killers aren't intelligent, neither emotionally nor logically, he didn't have any actual interest in firearms or tactics. He was just a weak and warped sped who was fascinated with the idea of a weapon giving him a lot of power over someone else, and that was pretty much as much as he thought about it.
This is also why many spree killers choose places like schools as targets, because they're extremely cowardly and are afraid of someone actually fighting back (a lot of them kill themselves at the sight of someone else with a gun who might be heading to confront them), they just want to wield ultimate power over lots of other people before ending it.
>>
>>64919095
Ew, TurkBerg.

>>64917736
Why do you hate guns?

>>64917924
Old Winchester 1300s are cool, very light and fast action to rack.

>>64917860
Shockwaves are kind of mostly toys, but with the SBS stamp being free now, they are looking more attractive. Look out for rust with modern Remingtons.
>>
>>64922018
no one is buying shotguns, especially pump action hunting shotguns. you can go look up gun sales by type and it's all ARs and handguns (and we are in a gun sale slump due to the massive sales in 2012, 2016 and 2020-2024.
Guns are durable goods and even though hunting is going back up it's still low compared to pre 2000s levels so there's only so many people looking for a new shotgun. there's a TFBtv vid with one of those meme mag fed mossberg shotguns that probably doesn't work well and James said mossberg told him they sell more meme guns than they sell normal shotguns by like a lot.
>>64922045
>Just don't buy the Turkish shotgun, the Maverick 88 still mogs Remshit and Turkshit.
I have a 500 retrograde that in retrospect was a bad idea to buy because the checkering on the stock wasn't great and I replaced the stock with a boyd's comb and LoP adjustable stock, got a 28 inch barrel when it came with the 18.5 inch and I don't really like the forend because the retrograde's forend is shorter than other models. I would have been better off buying the cheaper wood one with the 28 inch barrel, longer forend and shittier wood
>Maverick is partially outsourced to Mexico but finished in their Texas plant.
I'm pretty sure mossberg only makes shit in texas now. my receiver is stamped for CT but I think they only have offices in CT now and they moved all production to eagle pass. you can go look up eagle pass on google maps. their the mav 88 factory and mossberg factory are pretty much right across the river from each other
>>

I don't. I just think tacticool shotguns are cringe
>>
>>64922089
You're cringe.
>>
>>64922094
>cosplaying a mossberg as an 1897
very cringe
>>
>>64922080
I think meme guns in general are going upwards not just shotguns. You can only have so many knock offs and copies with only a company name to separate things before people start gravitating to the stripper mag pistols or belt fed shotguns purely out of need for variety.

I personally don't think its a bad thing in most cases, your most sensible gun person would pick something reliable and traditional first then get something gimmicky for shits and giggles. If the gimmick gun just so happens to be reliable and effective then its a win.
