F-16 Crew Chief here. Yes. It is cheap, multirole, and does everything pretty good. There really isn't one thing exactly that the Falcon excels in, but moreso that it is so cheap to maintain and cheap to outright buy than any of the other multirole fighters. There are some common maintenence issues that come up on all of them, but none of them truely impact mission capability. Supposedly they were designed with maintainers in mind, which cuts cost pretty significantly. I can see that in a few places, such as engine swaps and some other larger tasks.
Overall, yes I would agree. It just sort of works for most situations. It is the "square hole".
