How many drone interceptors have you seen launched by hand meaning they can be fired on the move, carried ready to go and launched from scrub / grass?

To make production cheaper a lot of impact fuses are just 2 bare wires that bend and touch closing the firing circuit.
My best guess is the target has one of those and the impact made the wires shake enough to touch.

Form factor matters a lot, a big tail-sitter than can't be launched from long grass is a lot less useful than this which can be issued like AT to anyone.

The drone being shot down isn't an FPV its one of those big boy long distance types. They're huge and fly slow (relatively speaking). An FPV will spot and hit you long before you take the shitty launcher out and set it up.

Based on the video it launches after 2 seconds, we have no idea how long it takes to lock before the video starts.

I'm not saying this specific model is peak counter drone, I am saying this form factor has a lot of potential for refinement, better optics, manual locking options ect.
>long before you take the shitty launcher out and set it up
You can carry it at low ready, what setup?"

Odd place to have a quotation point but I'll bite: Because infantry need to carry an actual weapon and having guys who are constantly visually scanning the air is a waste of manpower.

Look at your keyboard, I fat fingered the ?

Yeah, 5km from a static front you need rifles up at all times. Just ignore they largest threat in that area because anon says so.

I don’t see how it’s good against FPV drones.
They are small, extremely manoeuvrable and you quite often don’t have that much time to target them. Automatic shotguns and rifles with anti-fpv ammo will work much better against specifically fpv drones

As I said I like the form factor not this model, give it a FLIR camera and monitor on the launcher and it's a cheap Javelin CLU.

You think the Taliban with FPVs as well as IEDs wouldn't be a threat because there was no front?
The /po/ influx stands out because of how stupid you lot are.

>my country is so strong we don't have fronts
>please ignore every frontless war we have lost
The American military is great at dealing with militaries in conventional warfare, see the Gulf War, they are terrible at dealing with frontless wars, see Vietnam & Afghanistan.

Cool, you've destroyed one fpv. What about the half a dozen others heading to make you the highlight of madyar's daily reel?

We'll have to see them deployed at scale to know how effective they are, my money is on guys 5km+ from the attacking drone team it'll be very effective just due to the time it takes for a replacement to get there.
As I have said with a decent FLIR and monitor on the launcher it could spot an FPV before it's analog camera sees them.
