Thread #42819711
I've realized I'm a fundamentally lazy person and don't want to get off welfare and work but I will have to at some point. This terrifies me. I like my comfortable NEET life. I'm trans so this is topical

fucking retards these days.
OP you're gonna get hit with life pretty hard. it's an inevitability that you will pay taxes, pay for your own living accommodation, and wageslave for some corporation eventually. If you do something now you'll probably be okay later, but the longer you postpone this the worse it's gonna get for you.

its not that you're lazy its that you're afraid. as a fellow neet the long term disconnect from society makes you afraid of normal people and makes you feel incompetent and like you cant really do anything, but its not true. you just have to fix your brain

could be worse
imagine studying like a lunatic in school for years, being taught by your working class parents that if you get a STEM degree then you'll get to live a comfortable middle class lifestyle with zero financial struggles
and then you graduate to find that most highly skilled white collar jobs still pay like trash, expect you to work unpaid OT in extremely stressful environments with constant deadlines and client pressure, and that you basically have to spend the rest of your life grinding outside of work just to keep up
i basically have no hobbies outside of my work anymore, everything I do revolves around my career in one way or another.
oh and on top of all of that, AI is causing the white collar job market to collapse, graduates graduating from the best universities in the world are struggling to find jobs right now, I'm lucky because I got my foot-in-the-door right before LLMs became good, but I know I'm one redundancy away from being a perma unemployable NEET, my family disowned me for being a tranny too so I'm literally planning on killing myself when that happens, because fuck being homeless

unless you live in a real country that shit is not going to help. Maybe you can live on a rent ticket that nobody wants to accept and enough food to feed yourself for three weeks every month, but even so it's a damn trap that takes years to escape. True enough that there aren't really any alternatives that don't involve sacrificing 75% of your year but I doubt disability is going to get any better in the next few years

if you live somewhere with public healthcare at the very least, homelessness can be more bearable
I've been homeless before and probably will be again unfortunately, but I'm going to ride out the hedonism until my flame gets snuffed out

People that are actually nice and pleasant exist, it's the people that LARP as normal, but are virtually a demon in the flesh that are the problem. If you show you aren't fooled, they try to get rid of you.
