When people meet you again without knowing you transitioned, are they surprised that you're another gender now, or not surprise because your appearance has not changed enough?

surprised because you're likely the first trans person they (knowingly) see irl.
also i wouldn't say it's a question of changed enough or not, some people will see change differently: when i show my transition timeline to people i can clearly see that most think i changed a lot, while other don't see much of a difference.
but yea we're in a ciscentric society so ofc the surprise comes from you being a transsexual

I meet my extended family once a year and i can tell they've been suspecting something because every time they see me I look a little faggier, thinner, and my hair gets longer. i was at least cursed with eternal flatness so i can't be found out on that front.

They already know because nothing stays a secret in my town.

As I surpass a decade transitioning I relate more and more to this quote I read in a memoir "isn't it weird how she changed genders and looks more like she did 20 years ago than any of us"
After enough time even if one becomes way more feminine something about avoiding brutal Testosterone aging makes you closer to the memory of you from years past in my experience.

>"They're disgusted by your laughably pathetic attempt to mimic another gender."
is a stretch but it's true that even the best allies never do their job of deconstructing their (not so) internalized transphobia, so they might look chill because they're libs trying to be woke but it doesn't actually mean they respect you deeply, they're moreso playing along by wokeness.
you're pretty (and way more so now) btw pookie

People i knew pretrans don't recognize me anymore and it's such a relief. I only really tell people i like and i can just decide to never interact with people that i regret having gotten to know before hehe

if you're stealth yea but it's a fine line because as soon as you're outed you fall all the way back down to the sexclass of a tranny. which is pretty often actually because of medical and administrative shit...
some people do genuinely have great upbringing or deconstructed shit enough, making them able to actually see you as as woman/your targeted sex.

I tell a nigga don't dick ride, don't blick ride
Leave it to the double thick thighs, twin sisters
Drop it down and wobble, wobble up, mami booted up
She get down and gobble, gobble up 'cause my money up
Slide, slide in the Bentley truck-a, the Wraith truck-a
Your bestie is a dick sucker, I big dub her
As-salama-lama alaykum, you big hater
You nothin' but a hater, hater, clout chaser
You're mad I'm back, big mad
He's mad, she's mad, big sad
Haha, don't care, stay mad
Ah-hah, ah-hah, ah-hah
Haha, bitch, I'm laughin' 'cause you big mad
See it in your face, cry baby, bitch, you big sad
Niggas tweetin' bout me, got me trendin', bitch, you big sad
Tell me how I ratted, came home to a big bag
