i know most people here seem to hate ftms or anyone born a female but if so, how would u define an "ideal" ftm?
i mean, what kind of traits would make u think of someone as truly malebrained and put them apart from trenders?
t. ftm youngshit seeking to uhh learn..

Don't be a people's pleaser and stand your ground even if they deny your manhood or try to humiliate you calling you a tender.

cis male here, i think if i were to think of an ideal ftm it would be someone who his muscular/toned and have facial hair (whether it be stubble or a short beard) as far as mannerisms I think a problem ftms run into is lacking an understanding of guy talk or bro mannerisms, its hard to explain but theres a casualness that is so simple but sincere that guys have towards each other that I don’t see ftms adopting. Though I also wanna stress I think its important to still maintain your own personality, dudes are pretty weird and have their own strange quirk so don’t go larping as a dude bro if thats not the type of person you are

to me for a trans guy to be valid he has to at least want to be on t, the main reason i wouldn't see a trans guy as valid is if he does stuff like call himself an ftfemboy or whatever bs. it also helps a lot to have good self confidence and going to the gym is good too. if u meant what would make them attractive then to me the ideal traits in a person of any gender has to have a unique personality and be smart, the ideal trans guy to me would also be assertive and maybe i'd like it if he kinda acted like an older brother a little bit.

>get on t asap and be on it consistently [you didn't get to start at 13? tough shit. man up and start at 16 or 18. The first time you can do it, just do it and never stop]
>very low neuroticism
>likes football or some other very mainstream male activity
>systematic thinking (as opposed to emotion based)
>fine with himself on things he can't change (ftms who whine about their height are just as disgusting as amabs who do the same - very fembrained shit)
>despises theyfabs at the same level as binary transwomen do because he (correctly) perceives it as a threat to his masculinity
>his sexual partners are normal men or women (binary trans or cis) rather than gigafembrained theyfabs or brainwormed trannies
>actively befriends men and is comfortable broing out
>ideally has little or no bottom dysphoria as a result of being realistic [this helped me a lot!] - not his fault he was born wrongly, gotta work with what you have
>is not ashamed to affirm his libido (any normal man will talk about what he finds attractive rather than chicken out from the convo) - this is where being on t helps the most
>watches live-action porn and isn't ashamed of it (ideally masc x masc)
>does gym and upper body exercises to maximize his masculine appearance to the best ability that he has
>works to be able to afford top surgery as fast as possible
>takes FMS seriously
>learns to be more assertive and whine a lot less
I'm not ideal, but doing all of the above at least to a certain degree has gotten even raging anti-pooners IRL agree that I am male.
When I look at a 45yo dude, I want to age like that. My role models are very masc men with their shit together.

You will never become malebrained. There's only a sliver of FtMs, and only a portion of cis men, who are definitively malebrained. That person is someone who is blue collar and provides for his shitty family and is a dysfunctional person because he's a slave to the male role in society. Outside of that, there's always wiggle room. Although I have great respect for FtMs who take academic goals seriously.
If you want to be male, work out and be somewhat serious. That's about it.
Being aggressive is actually retarded, most men aren't like that in their day to day lives because they are punished for it. Not always, there's circles in which men talk shit all day and start "fights" and act like they're gonna "fucking kill you" but never actually fight. Yes this is different from bro-dom. You don't exist in this part of society.
Don't worry about your interests. Even if you're deep into internet culture and have stereotypical interests, usually people don't care. Or, if they do, it's actually because of how you present yourself overall.
Passing is all that really matters. Just take test, exercise, chill out.
What seperates FtMs from trenders, in my mind, is just their effort. You can be a retard, you can be annoying, but if you are sincerely male or pretty much male, it's whatever. Don't overthink it. Even if you aren't the perfect tranny, it doesn't mean your effort and underlying motivations are moot or frivolous. Unless that's who you are. If so, just be a responsible adult, be honest with yourself and others.

Just accept that most people, cis or trans, will hate you and learn to live with it. Get some good close friends and ignore everyone else. There are no good spaces for ftms, they're all self-hating, hugboxy, or both. Trying to look cool in the eyes of people who hate you is a waste of time.

i've been thinking about this one, what exactly are "bro mannerisms"? i do know those exist but don't know exactly how they are
though that's it about most social codes for me lol i got asperger and i'm pretty much good at getting everything else except these things..

Ideal ftms are real dykes or anybody that has lived as gnc as they possibly could before realizing they were trans. This pipeline causes the ftm to easily accept and even further their hypermasculinity as a man while still maintaining a personality instead of larping. The issue with theyfabs and hefabs lately is that none of them are nonconforming. They think being into subcultures is considered nonconforming, which is why being trans is treated like a subculture now.

Ideal in the eyes of whom? Listen carefully yungpoon, the only ideals you should live by are the ones for your own sake. Often times to be a “real man” you will be pressured into performing and enforcing a rigid system of norms designed a priori to exclude you, it will always be a bullshit shell game you never win, and its better to be the kind of person you want to actually be.

takes T, acts like a normal guy, doesn’t get fucked up the pussy, actually wants to look like a man and not a yaoi character, doesn’t chase after gay men, doesn’t make his whole personality about being a pooner, actually has cis male friends, works out, has a job…

It's genuinely so profound to me that a lot of this shit that people are saying is akin to a dad or older brother or anyone fulfilling a masculine role model (Kamina-esque) giving advice/mentoring their son/younger brother/junior. I've never really had to actively think about masculinity especially since I was a kid (t. mtf), so reading some of these responses, not to be soppy, is sincerely a little heartwarming to me.
