i like to go hiking and i go through phases where i go rock climbing. i enjoy reading a lot and try to read decently regularly too, i try to cover a lot of different kinds of books but its more of history/law or literary fiction type generally. i like going to see bad movies and artsy movies (i mostly enjoy both). i like drawing people and listening to music. i enjoy following fashion and clothes related things even tho i don't buy too many clothes. but mostly i just like going for walks and looking around at things, letting my mind wander, and listening to some tunes!

I've thought about going to furry conventions before as a way to meet people but I know for a fact that wouldn't happen, I've played card games at local stores and didn't get to know anybody, why would furry conventions be any different?

>why would furry conventions be any different?
You have to get connected with your local furries first, then when you go to a convention with them, you can talk to people they know. In my case, it's moreso getting connected with the local furries to make friends more than the randos at conventions

Fairly small city. Mostly a college town. There's bound to be some, you just have to check for them on an app like barq or something. You wouldn't know about them otherwise because people have a tendency to freak out about furries in less populous areas

Ah, you're in college, that explains it. I live in a university town of about a hundred thousand and there are zero "scenes" whatsoever, but I know for a fact that the students at the university are socializing constantly.

Nah I'm a graduate but just live here now. I guarantee if you check the furry apps there will be some, probably majority students with a handful of permanent residents. Even back when I lived with my parents in the sticks there were 1 or 2 relatively close by

lel for me the language barrier here has caused me social isolation for... 20 years now, so I think it'll be a while before I can act "normal" enough, let alone be able to socialize with normies, even the nerdy spergy furry etc types

Unironically those normie hobbies like music, reading, travelling
but since I'm a bit mental, I go extreme with it
I listen to Turko-Mongol throat singing when I run
I read schizo shit and manifestos from people who've killed themselves
I intentionally travel to shady places, get myself in weird situations, and generally try to remain calm inside eventhough I know one wrong move/word could end me

Edamame beans. Boiled for 3 minutes and drained. While that’s boiling in a separate pan I add garlic and oil. Then onions sauce and water. Sometimes carrots and onion with the garlic but mostly garlic. Let it reduce while the beans are boiling. Toss in the edamame beans top with sesame seeds sometimes Sriracha

I make things. Right now I'm working on a digital clock for my room. I'm making 7 segment digits from some led strip I've had laying around since forever, some shift registers to control each segment, and a esp01 to sync it with current time and serve a local webpage so I can do stuff like set alarms and timers
My whole life is fun little projects like this

Fix cars, usually older ones. This includes rebuilding engines and transmissions, doing engine swaps and such.
Table top games of all sorts (Board, Strategy, RPG) including painting my minis.
Disc Golf is quite fun and relaxing - as is semi-primitive camping.
Furry stuff.

I take photos of Urban landscapes at dawn.
Polytheism shit (pic related sorry for the mess I was cleaning)
I got to lots of concerts and hang with friends a bunch.
My life is a little boring now since I'm a mom, I used to throw very wild parties with friends

Forgot to add that bust pedestal I am building from almost scratch, unfortunately the bust was supposed to be a bit bigger so I'm going to have to print another. I'm not super happy with the pedestal either so I'm probably going to repaint it again, those furry parts are upholstered black lights but they swap out for flower holders

I bowl in a league down at my local alley. I like drawing, but I've been in a dry spell for a while now. I write. I should probably read more. I like movies, but I seem to never have time to sit down and watch them. I like Lego and other building blocks. I dabble in photography and collect toy cameras. I'm basically a hoarder.
