Why so caught up on height?
There's a trans girl I matched with and started talking to on a dating app about a year and a half ago.
My social phobia got the better of me and I just stopped messaging her because I felt she was too cool for me.
She listed her height as 5'10 at that time.
However, between then and now, I saw iterations of her profile on dating apps, and each time I see a new iteration, her height literally keeps going down.
Just now, I saw her newest profile, and now she claims to be 5'7.
I'm 5'6", on a good, and I can tell from her pictures there's no damn way she's 5'7".
Why do trans women get so hung up on height?
There's plenty of famous cis women who are tall and still highly regarded for their beauty and femininity.
It's not a big deal.

Those uber tall women are freaks.
Being an uber tall trans woman makes me a freakish freak.
It's just a reminder that I'm not normal.
Also the world is just not built for tall people. My back hurts all the time because literally every bench, every ironing board, every everything, is built for a max height of 5'10.
Also I want to feel cute, I want to know what that feels like. That doesn't happen when you're a 6' ogre.

it’s not the same thing when you’re unquestionably female. being tall is clocky for obvious reasons. 5’10 is not that bad but being like 6’3 almost guarantees you will spend the rest of your life getting clocked. it’s just such a rare thing to see woman that tall. not to mention tall women of any kind are probably going to deal with their men being insecure about it at one point or another, and their dating prospects are shrinked in the same way a short man’s are though it’s not as severe.
