Not true. I read, I just don’t like to read with others. Book clubs are gay

I'm not on here like I used to be, but don't we still do annual reading of Ulysses?

you want to actually meet and discuss things with the people on this board?

that doesn't speak well to your character or your intellect

We have reddit for that

Don't mention Reddit around here. You gonna get anons frothing at the mouth and coming out the woodwork

More coordinated reading would probably do this board some good, but I think it would be more effort than anyone here would be willing to do.

The only thing I would ever coordinate with /lit/ is a mass suicide with strychnine

Does anyone have any recommendations for resources on finding book clubs?

Like obviously there’s a ton of them but they’re all old women reading slop. Is there like a discord or fb group or literally any type of online community that can point people in the direction of local or even online book clubs that fit their literary interests?

I am not flying to the US just to hear some pseudointellectual recluses fellate Dostojevski and Tolstoi.

I don't have the time for it. I was sick, and that would make me behave chaotically in ways that I didn't necessarily wanted, and now that I'm better, I don't have the time for it. I have other things that are more important to me. I'm writing about what I read in some way or another, but I don't talk about books.

There were some discord ones but they all devolved into ERP drama like usual.

About a year(+) ago, we still had a couple readalongs. They died fast. This place should be 90% reading threads, because it's the only way to really get deep discussion on literature going.

It would be so cool man, but a lot of you can't read.
Still if anyone here have any suggestions I'm listening
