While Hasbro is trying to make do with a couple of mediocre cartoons, in Japan so far there is nothing going on for Takara after Wild King?

Nta, I enjoy GGG, but RID is a much better Transformers show that has a better Super Robot aesthetic and less QUAILTY animation.
>>
>>23716749
Car Robots, Micron Legend, Superlink and Galaxy Force all have cool robot designs.
The appeal of super robot to me is the robot gets new power up combinations through out the series.
I would say TF Go is amazing too, but the model doesn't translate well to the toy.

The toys are cool, but the show itself is not so much, imo. It's pretty cool that we're in an age where we're seeing a bunch of updated toys for Japanese Transformers.
>>
>>23716761
I may be the minority, I didn't really finished any shows. I'm more interested in the toys.
I actually prefer the Legends Star Convoy because I absolutely love combining robot even though the new one have better proportions.

Speaking of Energon Universe, what are /m/s thoughts of Arcee Magnus? Not sure how necessary making her a leader is, but at least she's not replacing Prime. Interested on what her Toy will look like in the near future.

>>

>>23716770
To be extremely honest, I just wish that mold became Super Ginrai instead of a cheap excuse for a Star Convoy made to scale with a proper Super Megatron toy. Well, if Hasbro and Takara Tomy says they want an all-original redo of Super Megatron to match up with Star Convoy... Okay.
But the real thing I want right now are newer versions of the Autobot Headmaster Juniors. Complete with working Titan Master gimmicks.

A hot rod hitches up to a truck, and after some time on the road, pulls into a trucker station. Another truck driver asks him why he's pulling a truck with such a sporty vehicle. The hot rod replies, becauseI HAVE THE MATRIX OF LEADERSHIP AND I WILL DO WHAT I LIKE.

These things are kind of fascinating. The base cars had the right kind of suspension to support the extended chassis so they made great high speed delivery vehicles.

>but RID is a much better Transformers show that has a better Super Robot aesthetic
easy explanation for that is that Car robots was a 100% Japanese production where as Armada was co designed with Hasbro din initial designs that Takara refined. But were still beholen to American sensibilities.
The only American influence on Car Robots was the Destrongers using the US codesigned Transmetal 2 aesthetic and likely Black Convoy/ Spychangers since they were originally made for toys intended for the US market.

new skybound incoming and I want to know their real thoughts
I remember it being a plot in IDW that was outright ignored. Their blood was both a drug and sustenance for each other. Drift was an addict to it and whored out to keep getting it. And as Starscream lead the decepticons, they started cannibalizing because they had no energon. But neither of these were touched on like they mattered. They were just a thing that happened and then never got brought up ever again
The only cannibal I think that had any presence was Sunder who ate memories but that's more eldritch than body part

It was still like all Takara with Aaron Archer being sent to Japan to draft up designs.

Well he introduced it to Hollywood. I think its the only instance of a mecha style mid series upgrade being introduced in a Hollywood movie ala Japanese G1, Brave, Sentai, Eldran, etc.

G1 needs a reboot that incorporate the JG1 and fix all the continuity errors. My idea is to introduce a new main character in every seasons, so the original G1 will strip out every fillers to fit in one season.
Season 1 staring Optimus
Season 2 staring Rodimus (2010)
Season 3 staring Chromedome (Headmaster)
Season 4 staring Ginrai (Masterforce)
Season 5 staring Star Saber (Victory)
Season 6 staring Dai Atlas (Zone)

Hmm? I'd say the Ginrai arc should delve into the existence of the Thirteen Primes. New Legends is doing their own take on the Thirteen by painting them as evil while Unicron is trying to redeem himself. But if I want to treat the Thirteen truer to the JG1 text, it will come with massive retcons to lots of places (Planet Master will instead be Caminus, where Solus Prime made all of her inventions, and include Master-Braces as among her prized inventions, and the Apex Armor as unfinished tech the Pretenders have to complete).

We've had multiple, though most are only partial seekers.
- In a What-If comic issue, Starscream gets upgraded by Unicron instead of Megatron, gaining a new combiner body that can combine with Dirge, Thrust, Astrotrain, and Soundwave.
- In the IDW1 comics, humans mass-produce combining Thrust/Ramjet clones.
- Also the IDW1 comics, Acid Storm is briefly forced to be a combiner limb with a bunch of other random choices.
Toywise, you can ALMOST have a combiner that is all Starscreams: Power of the Primes body, plus ghost, SG, and Golden Lagoon limbs. If you want to stretch the definition, you can throw in limb Thrust, but it's Armada Thrust and not G1 Thrust.

...You're kinda listing my complaints with the "seeker combiners" so far. Also, while I don't hate the mass-produced, 5-part, body+limbs combiners I would wish for some more combiner with more than 5 parts or a different approach in their combination.

Honestly I would wish for an Optimus that combines the super modes of Power of the Primes (toy version), Armada and Bayverse.
>Orion Pax = Truck-kun
>Optimus Prime = Orion Pax + Trailer (similar to Armada's Battle Mode)
>Jetpower Optimus = Optimus Prime + Jetfire (similar to the Bayverse one)

Is the Thirteen Primes a biblical reference?
I'm a casual fan getting into TF lore and the Thirteen reminds me of the Antediluvians from Vampire: The Masquerade lore, who are also thirteen ancient beings who all modern vampires descend from. They have to both be referencing/inspired by something right?

>>23764384
Then why didn't you state that point from the beginning? Or the multiple times you were asked what you were actually confused about?
And yes, that's literally what's happening. Galvatron's using a knockoff Enigma of Combination to force random Transformers to combine and fight for him. These comics were released around time that the Combiner Wars toys were on shelves, which used the classic Scramble City-style "just slap whatever limb-bots you have on there" method of making a combiner.

And while comic Galvatronus isn't using Cyclonus as the torso-bot, toy Galvatronus/Cyclonus introduced the idea of a combiner forcing random limbs onto him (since the toy is a retooling of a Silverbolt toy and doesn't have a dedicated team of limbs of its own)

Just a heads up, you may encounter some discussion about the 13 being "multiversal singularities", supposing to be the same characters, or having the same roster, in every version of Transformers stories. This was a fumbled concept by Hasbro and was later outright retconned. Different Transformers stories can have different 13s with different lores, or even no 13s at all. Same goes for Primus and Unicron.
When going about lore, always remember the golden rule of Transformers: It Depends On The Universe.

Wasn't it something isolated to the funpub TFCC comics? They started with the Primes, Primus and Unicron being multiversal singularities, then by the end their OC donut Nexus Prime broke the Universe and the previous singularities split.
