Yup. Forbidden actually bent METEOR's beam saber. Athrun gave up and flew away. Then the writers thought that was too OP and we never saw it do that again.

Databooks say it was designed to smash Gen 1 phase shift armor (Strike, Dual, Aegis, Buster, etc). Gen 2 suits like Freedom and Justice still take internal damage through Phase shift when struck by a direct hit of the mace.

No. Jeturk machines never beat a gundam. Aerial Rebuild was going to turn Daribalde into paste until Miorine forcibly shut Aerial down. The Dilanza needed to be saved from the Gundovlas by the Demi Barding. Hell Guel's Dilanza also lost to Schwarzette and was going to explode and kill him before Felsi came in with the fire paste.
