the S2 OP is TOO DAMN GOOD. 9/10. I wish it was used in S1 instead...

the first episode had gud choreography . but after EP 2, in clear-day TSF action scenes, the low and choppy FPS for fast 3D models are jarring and the brain tells you something looks off. And for the night ones (12/5), you cant see a shit, LOL.

3D visuals? good
3D animation? bad
Everything else (visually speaking , including 2D scenes and characters) goes from mediocre to raw dogshit.

Mankind had a lot of hive assaults before, but it seems that building an anti-Tank BETA Class (the biggest killer inside a hive) "gorilla" Tactical Attacker Undergroud (TAU) that could push forward in enclosed spaces, seems to be a tall task.
Most of the time, TSFs will not have the space to evade or even flee the area (pic related). Thinking like a classical RPG, there is no "Tank-type" to hold the ground or force forward. even a "Reinforced" TSA (less tall but more bulkier) with some help in transport to the hive entrance could fare better than the F-4 or newer tin cans. IIRC there is no 3rd gen TSA in the lore...
or maybe its the "Einstenian thing of sameness" in TSF technology tree that drives me crazy, lol

Contrived reasons. Beatrix sees unknown, futuristic TSFs operating in her AO and tries to arrest them. They resist. Things escalate. The entire scenario is about the main character getting over his resistance to killing other people. Every other human ML baddie he'd run up against, he beat but did not kill, even at risk to his own safety. Beatrix even retorts that a cute guy like him doesn't look like the type who could stomach killing her when he tells her she's a dead woman. Eventually, he finds the resolve, gets lucky, and loses his murder virginity to Beatrix. Funnily, Beatrix still fucks up his whole squad, despite flying a last gen piece of hardware. Like I wonder how well she'd stack up against the Valkyries, considering that the SF mains are supposed to be an international team of some of the most promising pilots. Also, she says towards the middle of the scenario that made a major blunder going hard in on the scary sexy stasi femme fatale bit from the start on the protag, so at least the script acknowledges it's a bit dumb.

They're double-teaming Axmann. It turns out that Axmann is really good at TSF combat in SF, being Jurg's rival and all. Theo manages to shoot him down shortly after Beatrix gets run through. His last words were something along the lines of "I can't die here," which contrasts Beatrix's last words.

There are some AU scenarios where the SM characters are alive into the 00s.

Some moments like Orson perving on Iris and Beatrix, asking them to model for him, asking Axmann to convince Beatrix to come to a photoshoot when she responded ambivalently (Axmann instead bugged her room for photos, but they were all shitty), and then annoying her again for a bikini propaganda shoot after Axmann was exposed, culminating in Beatrix picking Orson up and bodyslamming him at the end.

I guess it establishes that Beatrix is actually pretty strong.
