The story and twist were meh

I think it's mostly because 2021 was fucking packed anime wise. A lot of popular shows were airing concurrently with both cours, even as a mecha show it had to compete with Dynazenon for attention for its second cour.

No idea why, this show fucking ruled. I slept on it and only watched it a few years back, and kicking myself for not seeing it sooner.

I vaguely recall it as a hodge-podge of fantasy kung fu magic sorta robots and girls or something?
Kinda like that Onmyo whatever from the other season
just sorta okay but not that remarkable good or bad

Something about Back Arrow just feels soulless to me. I really want to love it and it has some great moments, but it feels too much like the writers just wanted to throw in all their favorite over the top super robot moments like TTGL obviously but there's also Getter Robo and one shot that is frame for frame G Gundam. TTGL felt like a great twist on its obvious influences, Back Arrow just doesn't.

It was okay. Had a couple of neat moments but it also felt oddly lacking in focus. It was like they were trying to make all the wackier parts of Gun X Sword into an entire show.
