Why? No one asked for this.
>>
>>23764711

>>
>>23764694
Looks like it's done on a shoestring budget too, which is very true to the original's spirit. I'll be there day one!
>>
>>23764694
Well fuck me if this isn't a surprise. Not in a million years.
>>
Hell Yes!
>>
Neat. Too bad shmups bore me to tears.
>>
>>23764694

It's extremely obscure, this came out of left field. Only true mecha enthusiasts could even discover that before the remaster announcement, and they even got a collaboration with Aoshima in the form of Atlanger, the 102-year-old model kit company's first original super robot, baked within the original game! If this is the sign of new times, please beg Aoshima to make Geppy-X and Geppy-XX model kits in return as a thank-you for the game's return.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>23764942
Yes, this guy is not original to the game. It's Aoshima's original mecha.
>>
>>
>>23764953
It WAS in the extra mode in the old version as well

Remember killing Musashi leads to the bad ending while killing Hayato leads to the good ending.
>>
>>23764967
Oh my god... This is also parodying Gekigangar, as I just realized.
>>
>>23764965
Oh, and I meant in the original as well, since this new version is a straight-up remaster with the exact same play style, only with better FMV graphics and the addition of emulator rewinding and English text options. Atlanger was created by Aoshima a few decades before the game was even made.

I will now buy your game.

>>23764929
I didn't even have hope for a fan translation.
>>
>>23764977
We need the better look of all the characters first. And good ending is right, since her presence in the Geppy-XX story is the canon choice.

They're sort of pulling from the same well.

>70s style
I'm more reminded of 90s stuff like Gekigangar 3 and Getter Robo Armageddon.
>>
>>23765784
I mean, Gekiganger 3 was trying to go for a 70s style too.

But, yeah, this is obviously not an actual 70s anime and the time it was made shows in the animation.
>>
>>23764711
>well known kusoge
>No one asked for this.
>>
>>23765784
Yes, for sure, but that was a result of it literally being contemporary to late 90's anime, that part was not an intentional style parody.
>>
>>23765873
I wish it was. They homaged Toei-isms like the single-file looping crowds, Nadesico should've gone farther and recreated the Mazingetter-era effects too.
