The problem is that this shit doesnt work in any war situation, and its not a metaphor for any kind of solution or philosophy or anything. Its a completely made up cop-out solution only possible in the setting of a mecha anime and says nothing meaningful about how we must reconcile war and peace in the real world, its a thematic deus ex machina. Yeah, the world would be better if the good guys had weapons so strong they could win without killing anyone. Thank you gundam SEED and AGE, that is so deep and profound, youve really moved me to tears, if only everyone would understand this, then the world would be a little better.
