I fucking hate how Gundam became a power creep slop like Dragon Ball.
like holy shit, why these fucks ignore all realism and physics laws just to appeal to low IQ children and redditors? their plot don't even need them to be strong. they are just overpowered for no good reason.
Turn A's power started the story of its show, but these shitters didn't contribute anything except "dude I press this button and insta win lmao" scenes.

You're 40 years too late to be saying this. The Zeta Gundam literally glows pink and gets a super mode. Even in OG Gundam Amuro's piloting skill increases due to his newtype powers. There's always been an element of super robo style power ups in the series. Some just interpret that differently.

zeta didn't teleport, jump through dimensions, and cut an entire fleet + giant space cannon with thin-size laser.
a machine that becomes stronger from its pilot strength is more believable than that garbage above that doesn't respect your brain cells.
even G Gundam, which was made as a super robot-style show, didn't have retarded stunts like this and it stayed grounded because the writer was actually professional, and not a hack
>>

Zeta and Kamille struggeled against Haman and Scirocco. it wasn't invincible.
Qanta, Unicorn and Mighty didn't have any competition at all. they just destroyed everything by blinking

>a machine that becomes stronger from its pilot strength
No, anon, a machine going Super Saiyan and pulling off shit it shouldn't logically be able to do because of the pilot's supernatural powers is not more believable than a machine gaining access to strong weapons thanks to both upgrades to its base structure and an add-on upgrade backpack machine.

>even G Gundam, which was made as a super robot-style show, didn't have retarded stunts like this and it stayed grounded because the writer was actually professional, and not a hack
Lmao.

The United States leapt technological generations during the Cold War out of fear and spite, anon

Literally only an issue to you because you make it an issue yourself. Power scaling isn't real.

Zeta summoned the souls of dead girls to stop a mech from moving out of the way of a speeding plane.

First time watching Gundam?

Tourists bitching about Unicorn don't realize that Zeta is the original "what the fuck is this":
>Somehow deflects beams
>Somehow makes beam sabers extend abnormally long
>Somehow Psycommu-jacks
>Somehow summons the dead
Just imagine being a kid in Japan in the early 80s. You watched all three Gundam movies in theaters. You've read Gundam Century cover to cover. You look forward to new entries of MSV in Mokei Joho. You're deeply invested in this grounded, sci-fi world.
Then Tomino hits you with shit straight out of Reideen.

Anon Quanta is a fuckin suit made out of desparation for humanity to not get utterly mogged by the aliens who may or may have not given a shit that the other side had feelings and thoughts.

You can say that maybe for Unicorn and Mighty but Quanta absolutely greater threat than itself.

>very first gundam has amuro pull a bullshit power out literally from his ass
You don't watch this series
>slop
See what I mean

Didn't Judau literally pulled "Power of Friendship" to defeat Haman? Gundam has always been a pretentious super robot larping as realistic. If you want real gritty, grounded stuff, watch Votoms or something.
>>
>>23770766
>larping as realistic
The "real robot" term was never used to describe series as gritty and grounded. The first two franchises to be considered "real robot" were Gundam and Macross, two series known for having absurd tech. The "realism" is just "military and pseudo-science mumbo jumbo"
It's mostly just something used by early SRW to differentiate dodgy robots from tanky robots

The Qan[T] was created before they even knew about the ELS or that they were going to invade.

you might wanna prove that

wow, such nothingburger examples OP.

This

>But the Biosensor

The Biosensor isn't mentioned once in the actual anime and wasn't even invented until later on as an afterthought. In the anime itself if you were watching for the first time live Zeta, The O and Quebeley just develop random superpowers towards the end.
>>
>Zeta: becomes stronger when the pilot is angry thanks to their newtype power
>Qan[T]: travels dimensions, teleports, insta-kill anything
>Unicorn: travels dimensions, teleports, freezes time, insta-kill anytihng
>Mighty: insta-cut an entire space army in half in milli-second
>>
>>23770402
>Qanta, Unicorn and Mighty didn't have any competition at all. they just destroyed everything by blinking
The 00Q struggles against the ELS, and Setsuna doesn't even reach the core himself, it takes Graham's sacrifice.

The Unicorns are not invincible, the Banshee gets its leg blown off and even Banagher gets trapped by an anti-NTD weapon in episode 7 until Marida dies.

Even the Mighty Strike Freedom still has a decent struggle fighting the Cal-Re.A
>>
>>23771051
Biosensor is from the Zeta novels that were released at around the same time frame as the show. Gundam franchise has been running on the model of media mix for a long time.
>>
>actually there's newtype stuff in 0079 so it's okay to write that the unicorn used it's geforce midichlorian powers to time travel
>>
>>23770376
I can treat AUs like non-canon fanfictions, but I hate how Unicorn is way stronger than everything in late UC when it's 30-60 years older than F91 and V2 Gundam respectively.
it doesn't make any sense technology-wise, and it's purely power-creep autism
>>
>>23771236
Yeah the Biosensor is mentioned in the novels, but as a throwaway line that doesn't explain anything. How exactly does this thing work that it can do all of >>23770690 ? Who the fuck knows. You might as well have said that Zeta is powered by the Star of Ra Mu, but since Biosensor has a vaguely sci-fi sounding name, that's enough to satisfy the "muh real robot" crowd.
>>23771268
>A teaspoon of piss in my coffee is perfectly fine but a scoopful is too much!
>>
>>23771329
The Unicorn as it is isn't stronger than the F91 and the V2. It's only when the pilot has a big Newtype awakening that the Psychoframe starts acting up in ways that the people who designed the Unicorn never expected. It's like the Zeta with its Biosensor which was only meant to improve control response but then it absorbed the souls of the dead and gave the Zeta DBZ powers that were beyond its expected capabilities.

Yawn. You must be proud that your kind are insufferable.
