And Japan absolutely loves original Gundam so, from Bandai perspective, it makes a lot of sense to produce nth variant of Zaku from some obscure locally available only manga, than some model from newest series that Japanese care less about (because it's not muh Papa Gundam). Snapshitting Hazel Icarus atm. The first impression is abit disappointing. The folding rifle lacks the folding mechanic and you have to remove the parts to transform it. Compares to the 3rd party rifle, the Chinese executed the idea much better.

any tips for sanding/denubbing on curved surfaces? I've been having a lot of trouble with things like gun barrels, tanks, shoulders, any kind of curved surface where it meets inthe middle. At first I was using glass files and then got some sandpaper but even wiht the sandpaper i get these slight indentations. I feel like denubbing should not be this hard but really having trouble with clean surfaces

current status
i needed to reinforce the pegs because the bases were narrower for some reason
so i purposely globbed on the superglue so i could paint it silver and make it look like a messy weld
so the rocket pods are now repurposed surplus
i also drilled a 3mm hole into the pistol from the red beret's combogun so i could add it as a side weapon onto the left-hand rocket pod
not detail shot, but i won't take any until it's done

This may sound like a retarded question, but is there a database that has details on what kits contain what generic runners? I am trying to source a D-107 runner for an old B-Club kit and can't find what other kits may have one for the life of me. If need be I can probably make my own replacement struts but I would rather have the parts if possible.

what is bandai releasing these days? Feels like i the 2010s it was common to get real grades, master grades, and some high grades of current series but 16 years after the launch of RG theres only 43 kits.

If you look at the timeline it looks like 2018 when they did corporate reorganizations (when they went from red logo to blue) took a lot away from retail production and shifted things towards P-Bandai with new kits decreasing overall. I'm sure the Wuhan Flu didn't help things either. It sucks.

I think also it's that they pretty my much sell out all of the reprints that they do. There isn't as much incentive to make new kits if every print run still sells out.
Kinda like how Revell still uses 1980s molds in new boxes as they still sell all of those ancient ship molds with massive flash as the customers don't complain and just buy.
