It's a comfy fishing / village life game with movement as the hook.

Instead of waiting for fish to bite, you search for and chase after fish across Snowpitt's rivers, catching them with your fishnet using movement skills

I don't know if we ever decided as a community if Snow Ponies have money or not but if you put money in the game it would give the players some flexibility on what upgrades they get instead of getting whatever upgrade the quest gives them. You could go with the standard copper, silver and gold but a more interesting take would be hard wood, ivory and soap stone coins.

Firs of pine cones are far too common to work as money. Money only works if it's scarce.
Secondly a society without money of some kind becomes stagnant and can not advance because of the limitations of a barter based society. Money is just far more convenient.
