Last year's Born to Silly art pack was pure magic. Wholesome foal art, big family vibes, and we actually helped real kids through a pro-life charity. /mlp/ showed we can do real good with pony autism combined and even this gave me hopes about myself.
This year, I think we could keep the streak going and defend life at the other end too. In a similar topic but MAID/euthanasia is getting pushed hard in Canada and Europe branded as "end of life care" that's starting to include depression, poverty, even kids in some talks recently. It's grim and I think it's also serious.
Elders who built everything get told they're burdens. That's not Equestria, think Granny Smith, she's old, cranky, full of stories, heart of the Apple family and has probably seen and fought wars. Ponies don't give up on her. They rally, tell tales, bake pies, make her twilight years warm together.
To me the core idea of BornToSilly as the creator intended is sending a message before all and that was what made me go "yeah". Life is precious from first breath to last.
Proposal for Vol. II: Born to Silly: Art Pack for Life Theme: Ponies living their best lives. Not shortened for economic reasons. Granny with grandfoals, old couples watching sunsets, retired Wonderbolts telling tall tales, Multi-gen cuddles, wisdom passed down, dignity and love, endurance.
Silly Stuffing gets a grandma edition because yes, adults also love plushies. Pure wholesome celebration of long, full lives and the circle is complete.
Charity ideas: Delta Hospice Society (Canada). They got defunded for refusing euthanasia. Or Euthanasia Prevention Coalition, fighting expansion while pushing better care.Same consistent message: life is sacred, dawn to dusk.
Also, try projecting yourself in an old age, when you reach 80, 90. That's also a message to send, don't leave your parents alone, they gave you life, protect theirs.
Pack stays cute and positive, just pony warmth saying every day under the sun matters, and whatever happens life, uh... Life finds a way.
