Honestly, if we're going to set a specific date for UT2004 sessions (I want to emphasize that we never operate that way; we always play on different days depending on the week, and there are weeks when we don't play at all. There isn't officially a set date for UT here currently), I think it should be Sunday, and there are two main reasons for that:
The first is that the biggest sessions on the server usually happen when the EQG Stream occurs, which always takes place on Sundays (but not every Sunday, of course, rather every 3 or 4 weeks). Knowing this, it would make sense to always have them on Sundays, so there's no need to change the day depending on something unrelated to this thread.
The second reason is that UT sessions usually last around 3 hours, 4 at most (and that's rare). Meanwhile, DOOM sessions last much longer, and I assume that's because it's on a Saturday, since on a Sunday it would be somewhat limited given that the next day is Monday, a workday for many, and I don't want to mess that up.
I'm in favor of splitting the days between each server/game and "officially" setting a session date for UT2k4, but I think Saturdays are more convenient for DOOM players, and UT players don't usually have any issues on Sundays, I think
Regardless, it would be cool to keep it that, just for this week, UT happens on Saturday and DOOM on Sunday, so as not to confuse other anons.

Ah, i see now. Honestly, i don't frequent any of the rewatch streams so i'm out of the loop about the scheduling. I was concerned that you weren't hosting ut2k4 on weekends as frequent as before because you couldn't do it on sundays anymore.
Also, i still don't know how the scheduling for the rewatch stream goes. Do they start 15:30 utc and are still live 19h-20h utc??? Anyway, i was thinking about splitting the doom sessions into two days when you want to host the ut2k4 games 19h utc: sat 17h pvp doom and sun 19h (random wad(s)/gamemode(s) i chose). If i can host saturday like usual the next week, and we haven't finished the wad the past week, i can start the session with the unfinished wad and pick a shorter wad or pvp gamemode for the rest of the session.
If you want to schedule games on saturday, you can just tell me. I have no problem with that.
But there's nothing much i can do about the saturday rewatch when i have sessions the same day. Maybe i can have a shorter 2h session before the sunday ut2k4 games but i don't expect much from this. People will probably want to rest from the previous session. I hope to figure something out eventually that won't miss someone out (even if they can't play with the usual saturday players).

There is a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat coop mod, which seems to work very well compared to the last time we played it. Now you can connect through steam friends if you own the game on steam, even though the launcher downloads all of the game for you

A few tips about the gamemode:
-Items only respawn once the wave starts
-Items respawn super fast
-Try to control zones with the strategic/strongest items
-A hitscanner will probably kill you

I have modified the vanilla bonuses items for the skulltag exclusive item replacements and fixed the greenarmor chestplate brightness in the second sprite. I also made the normal armorbonus shine a little more and the zap apples (plasmaballs) have a little electric effect too.
The updated bfgball was already in the wad the last time we played but since only the ones that played DeathMatch have seen it i decided to include it in the picture.

Skulltag invasion has a few differences from the usual horde/wave based gamemodes you find in other videogames:
-New rooms and weps/powerups pickups are unlocked as you finish the waves
-Invasion is played with infinite lives. The limited lives variant is called survival invasion. Focus on having fun, the challenge here isn't to survive but to clear the waves as soon as possible

I'm testing it rn and it doesn't work, at least not with the Redeemer or Lightning Gun (I didn't try the others, I think I'll leave it active only for the Redeemer on the server anyways).

I just added a mutator to the server that colors the vehicles, pic related
While I like the original models, I think these also look good and are more practical in battle, plus they make everything a little more colorful, helping the skins and server-theme
(and yes, when you hijack a rival vehicle, it also instantly changes color to match your team's)

It's similar to the first game, but in full 2d/3d graphics as opposed to the pure text-based first game.
In SH1 we play as a commissar and try to find a maniac and changeling spies.
In SH2 we play as a maniac and try to kill all important ponies in town while also completing our cutie mark cloak.

A real Flash classic, it's a full-featured 2D Fallout (New Vegas) with ponies heavily focusing on platforming and combat instead of dialogue-based quests.

It works surprisingly well. The Russians make things work well enough for it to be playable. You have no idea how funky some locations are, and how fun it is to take on the bloodsucker lair in Zaton with three absolute monkeys of a players

We played for like 2 hours and a half. It was enough time to finish all the alpha invasion maps. Since i rotate a lot between gamemodes i'm only hosting invasion again in the marecon event.

The servers are kept idle for 3 days without activity. I think doomseeker skipped the server because it took too long for it to retrieve the info (all challenges failed?) Or maybe you didn't filter the server name and was only seeing the servers being played.

Nah, my bad, I forgot to say to add it to the ServerPackages. And the reason why it doesn't work in Instant Action is because it's built around NetMode only, which Instant Action doesn't simulate. It looks like UT searches for a TeamSymbols_ prefix in System to add textures to the team pool, so if you remove all entries under [Public] from TeamSymbols_UT2003.int and TeamSymbols_UT2004.int from the server, it should only read the TeamSymbols_mlp.int and TeamSymbols_MLPFIM.int. But there's a quirk, red team picks symbols from >=1, blue picks symbols >=10. mlp packs only have 6+8, so red team works fine, but blue team would be stuck with those last 4. And if you removed all the duplicate cutie marks, 8 unique, blue would be out-of-bounds and default to 0 (i.e. always be Twilight). I don't have that one. Only got QW and Q3. Haven't played much of quake but i really like QW deathmatch the ttk is almost like in doom. Only thing i dislike about it is uh... For some reason the majority of the maps are just brown. I have never been good at quake but i've been trying to get decent at qw recently when i'm not doing doom stuff.

How about instead of version x or y survival server you made game sessions like the sven coop and the other fps hosts do? We can go through a lot of maps, wads, maybe skyblock whatever in a single game session and continue if anons like. Usually the start of the adventure is the most fun part of the game for anons joining in and you decide whatever you want the session to be about 100% control and since it's not a permanent thing you don't need to worry that much about griefers or abandonment.

Thanks, that was exactly the info I needed!
I emptied the vanilla team symbols and, as a solution for not having many mlp-themed ones, I multiplied the entries in the .int, which doesn't break anything and helps because it seems that UT likes big pools of symbols.
Now there are only pony symbols on the server.

Honestly no, GTNH is a bit of a meme in that it's hilariously grindy, and also an extreme kitchen sink. Easily 30% of the early early game content is unrelated to greg, the midgame is quite greggy, and the lategame as far as I know is basically a bunch of fanfiction about greg.
Nomi is nice in that it's almost entirely greg, and pretty good greg. You don't get the massive epic experience of building universe shattering machines after thousands of hours of grinding, but also you get to not spend thousands of hours grinding.
Make sure you're playing hard mode though.

Goodie, I'm like 15 hours in (on easy) and got most LV machines. I've got no prior greggy experience but i just got fluids working as intended and it's pretty neat.

I guess i could turn it on albeit I've probably surpassed the need for steam tier and I'm not so sure about restarting. But forced peaceful and DML being disabled might be a fun challenge.

Yeah up to you, at the point you're at hard mode still improves some things - no DML, better platline, more focus on greg power rather than just doing numismatic generators for free infinite power, and I never finished it yet but I heard the endgame is better too with the resuable microminers. IMO steam is pretty cool, but yeah where you're at restarting would probably just demotivate you for no reason.
I personally really love the forced peaceful, it makes the Lost Cities feel actually abandoned with all their spawners being inactive, and you're just alone in the world building your little autistic factory. And of course making you not have to worry about combat and dying AND making the factory a bit more complex are excellent for Nomi's theme of focusing purely on the tech, no distractions.

Also you'll be disappointed to hear that Snad is still in hard mode. It's gated further though, but if you're in LV you can probably beeline it easily. Where they really diverge is where you'd upgrade from dinky little steam dynamos - on easy mode you use DML to generate infinite diamonds and then use the gemstone dynamo to turn the diamonds into power. In hard mode you actually have a reason to play around with gregtech generators, big boilers, turbines and all that good stuff.

Yeah, but it's just a way to condense what would be a huge sugar cane farm to a small sugar cane farm and be able to match the aforementioned huge sugar cane farm's output once you are far enough into the mod and i don't think that's SO unreasonable.

I mean on the easy mode i still need like some like crystals, that would require me to get DML for ender pearls (pretty sure) and without both endermen and DML on hard mode i think it'll still take a while...
