I know complaining only spurs people on to do more of the thing you complain about out of spite but as someone who DOESN'T want to become a pony (aka not a furfag), I hate anonstallion. Mostly because it exclusively takes away from the already limited pool of waifu art being created especially from my waifu in particular who doesn't have as much compared to ponies of similar popularity. That's like the main thing he's used for. What annoys me even more is, these people already have ponysonas and ocs that they pair with their waifu anyway, so much so that the average brony was/is often stereotyped as wanting to be a horse. It's like, they have that AND they have to double dip into our shit too. Can't have anything it feels like. I get you anon. Canon depictions of the ponies tend to be quite lackluster whenever I rewatch episodes. The intention was never to make them that deep but intentionally or not all of the mane six have solid bases to develop and flesh out in fanon works. Even though I despise canon Rainbow Dash I have encountered some fanon interpretations of her that are genuinely endearing and Applejack is one of my favorite ponies very much thanks to fanon's influence. All of this is a double edged sword, of course, but I think that's it all worth it at the end of the day.
