I've been on the site since 2020 and never heard of harmony threads

It dates back to 2010; if you've never been on /v/, you likely wouldn't have run into it. The threads back when were magical. Nowadays, people argue and bicker in them out of spite a little, but there's still a good bit of that magic there. It's up on /v/ right now if you'd like to look at it.

This page doesn't really capture the actual celebration of love for one another and Harmony, but it outlines the history well enough. There was always kind of an ironic gayness to the holiday like gachimuchi. Someone would post a picture of them dramatically reaching out to their monitor and then every other anon would form a giant chain of one reaching out to his photo, then another to his. Lots of fun stuff. Ultimately despite the shitposty nature of it, the appreciation was very real.

Honestly for us I dunno if we'd be reaching out or doing brohoofs or using pony merch or just literally any of those but I'd like to do it here.

Haha, wasn't sure if there'd be a lot of interest in keeping the thread around given this was a holiday thread. Generally speaking I like taking a few days to wind down from Harmony anyways, listening to the song and stuff, so I get it and I'm touched.
