Nobody actually knows and it's never actually explained in the show I believe.
Their episode and they themselves are one of the sweetest thing I've ever seen and when I realized they actually aren't alive anymore I almost couldn't believe they actually added something like this in a show for little daughters. That's kind of a reach and it's either Elysium (the realm) or Elysian Fields (the thing that's in Elysium). The artist should have just left it as Elysian Fields to fit with Tartarus. Or else maybe just gone full retard and renamed that to TarPoniesTarus
