Taxation is proportional to the cost a given tax paying household imposes on the commons. State actors are held liable under rule of law (princesses are supreme judges) for ensuring that taxation is in fact proportional and appropriated funds are not in turn used in any manner which imposes unwarranted costs on tax payers.

Equestria has a fair tax system, there are no taxes besides a flat VAT on everything. Ponies don't have to worry about taxes and they get taxed proportionally to what they consume.
They use gold as their store of value, not some Jewish paper money.

Whatever is needed based on Equestria's current needs.
Given none noticably complain about it, it's likely miniscule for the average day to day.

Probably something along the lines of this

i kind of just assumed ponies gave however much they felt like and that was enough to get things by
and equestria doesn't need to invest into things like... the military or law enforcement as much. plus they generally just live in a far more forgiving land with much finer control over their environments. not as many large infrastructural projects required when ponies can just do it themselves. also agriculture is easy, excavation is easy, magic trivalises a ton of stuff, they have weather control, super strength allows for one pony to do the work of many humans, they have hardier bodies and thus less medical care necessary, most possess unnatural levels of competence, etc. etc.

>Land
They tend it, they own it. Equestria is vast, start your own garden.
>Water
Lmao "hey featherbrains, make it rain!"
>Common resources
Such as? Roads maybe but that's easily doable with stuff already mentioned ITT.
