It's Song Review Time
Let's try to keep these at the ten minute mark or shorter, but otherwise post whatever the hell you want.
I'll let the first non-OP dude link the first track.

Quirky and soulful without being zany for its own sake. The music video is captivating, if a bit, ahem, handsy. Love the keyboard soloing.

An unironic Screamo fan is in no position to be calling out the taste of others. Brand New is good, though.

>The Weeknd
Immensely talented but overplayed and ubiquitous. That track is very soulful. Far better than fucking "São Paulo" with Anitta which my gym played for months on end.
>Dr. Buzzard's Original Savannah Band
Very soulful and pleasant, but largely pedestrian. Nothing offends but nothing stands out.
>Chappell Roan
No thanks.
>070 Shake
Production is superbassy. Can't really vibe it, though. Does nothing for me.
>Kanye West
Not a fan but this is soulful in all its autotuned glory.

>Boz Scaggs
I very much enjoyed this one, especially the sax solo about halfway through
>Theme of the mack
I liked the intro but the rest of the song after that didn't do that much for me, i do like the motown style drums in it though.
>Sonnenbrandt
Sounds a bit like something from a video game ost but in a good way, the synth lead in the chorus's are pretty catchy aswell.
>>129545232
Yeah my fault i probably should have waited to post my song and my review together lol

Not bad. The vocals are great.

Type O Negative kind of passed me by because I've never been too much into goth stuff, but I really like this song. The way low guitars contrast the wailing high notes and synths is very nice. (9/10)

Pretty neat fusion work that's accessible. Trouble is, it's too rich in tropes and quickly becomes predictable. This, if you ask me, works better:

Excellent album. For me, it's "Be My Druidess" and "Burnt Flowers Fallen". You might like Saviour Machine, assuming you don't already know 'em:

The inclusion of horns in this makes it a little more interesting. It made me think of this:

I got motorhead vibes from this.

The production hurts this one, but the strings give it some colour.

I think that was the first piece of music in Latin I've heard that wasn't written by some ascetic monk. That's novel.

I can't praise Aion's album Devotio enough. A glorious fusion of Industrial Rock and Neofolk with Martial Industrial and Darkwave influences.

Very curious production on this tune. Not really my style, but engaging nonetheless.

You're welcome, lad. Of those, which did you like the most?
>Steve Young
My mother likes his music. The tune is very soulful.
>Kokoshoku Elegy
Very dark and atmospheric, although a bit overlong. I'll relisten to this one.
>Shinsei Kamattechan
Not sure what to make of this one.
>Margo Price
Very Country. A little too trope heavy and by-the-numbers for me. Her accent is very on-the-nose, too.
>>129554803
Nah. This does nothing for me .
>>129553162
Not much of an EDM guy and this tune similarly does nothing for me. Not feeling this at all.

I thought they were all good to some degree, but my favorite has to be the track by Rebellen. The vocals are a bit weak but I love the hard driving bass line. It reminds me a lot of some of our national punk bands such as Ebba Grön and Imperiet. Here's an example:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jy2Ce1Wpl-4
I'd like to point out that Ragged Old Truck is a cover sung by Margo Price as part of a tribute album following the death of outlaw country legend Billy Joe Shaver. I like the female vocals, seems to add a bit of a melancholy touch to it. The following is the ultimate version though, without a doubt:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WJYX5nlTSc
He's drunker than shit but god damn if he doesn't put on one hell of a show. That's his son Eddy Shaver on the guitar btw, who was also taken from us way too soon. Before his dad even. Damn shame too, he was in my opinion one of the greatest country guitarists of our time.

Ah, are you Swedish? Any thoughts on Vikingarock? I know the lyrics are considered cringeworthy ultranationalist agitprop, but Ultima Thule knows how to deliver.
I see you're very much into American Country music. Any thoughts on Raggare culture?
>>
>>129556193
Yeah man. Not really into vikingarock, though I used to listen to Hel and Ultima Thule a shit ton as a kid. Probably had a lot to do with where I grew up. Very rural, and not uncommon to go over to a friend's house and see a big ass third reich flag on their big brother's wall lol.
I do like our raggare. They're mostly charming and harmless, at worst they keep you up at night as they drive around the block banging on the roofs of their american shitboxes at 3 am in beat with the worst fucking music you've ever heard. Great folks to party with, but their taste in music is generally atrocious.
I do like me some country. My taste is mostly within the 50s-80s range, modern country is fucking ass. I wish we had more Swedish country music. There were a handful of proper country musicians up until the late 70s, but after that the culture moved towards this particular style of pop-country abomination of a genre, commonly referred to as schlager. It fucking sucks.

>schlager
LMAO, are you aware of Jay Jay Tull? This was a novelty act put together by Ingo Nowotny who owned/operated Metal Enterprises, covering Schlager songs as Metal. The end result is rather hilarious:
