The longest 85 minutes of my life was listening to this album. It has good soundscapes but there's no break inbetween or emotional climax.
I know that's kind of the point of the album, to be poundingly depressive, but unless you are incredibly sad it will never click.

Only for the closing track. That opening track is such a fucking inexcusably boring waste of time.
Veins is really the only standard DSBM album Hypothermia made that barely holds attention and it's largely just because the guitar tone isn't weak. That and really I don't see it comparable to Apati at all. Hypothermia is way more monotonous (intentionally so). Apati is at least trying to have more sounds even if it's mid.

You lads needs to step up the DSBM game.

that album really isn't DSBM though. it's obviously connected to it, but it lacks the bm characteristics, which is for the better. I also don't get your frustration with the first track for being... meandering? What I meant is that it's really on the nose with the depressive aesthetics like Apati, which makes me cringe a little, but at least the music is good. Apati is just bad, though I am yet to find "DSBM" that holds true to the name and doesn't suck, so please, enlighten me

All Teeth is the only song I really really like off that album, and I also think I prefer the Have a Nice Life cover of it. Kind of a shame, since I feel like the album comes close to being very good but falls short everywhere else. Been a while since I gave it a full listen however.
