Being in a southern rock band from Jacksonville isn't great for longevity apparently

was collins to injured by plane crash to continue in skynard?
I thought there was a rossington collns band in late 70's, though?
>>
>>129568333
he got more injured in a car crash he caused at some point, I think it was before the reunion

Santana is the most extreme example I can think of.

what is it about drummers that make them so ephemeral?
>>
>>129570472
they just spontaneously combust

I don'g think it should count when it's one central artist the band is named after with a whole lot of session players and collaborators and live musicians
basically a solo artist really
>>
>>129566007
Gong's cheating since there's nearly always been multiple versions of the band (by design funnily enough)
>>

The Fall?

Basically just a collective of rotating musicians besides George Clinton

We get tired of being ordered around by faggot band-members, leaders, and songwriters that demand we play their embarrassingly amateur garbage parts note for note within a militantly enforced dynamic range that sucks the entire soul out of the group, so we end up going back to playing by ourselves in the basement to records which is usually more fun than any gig. That gets fucked after a while, so we fool ourselves into thinking "this time will be different," go out again, get a gig, hate these fucking faggots, and return to the basement, completing the cycle once again.

never liked that quote because Hanley and Scanlon were there for 20 years and responsible for nearly all the great hooks they had musically

Drumming is more of a trade than a creative endeavour

This is unfortunately true and it hurts so badly.

I count them in some cases like Ozzy due to the big contributions of the other members on the songwriting as much as Ozzy and Sharon liked to deny it.

Seems like Don Airey has played with everyone at this point.
