They were so close, but the handful of "muh black suggering" lyrics keeps it from being phenomenal. The rap worked in DD and PB, as it kept the flow and the theme cohertent, but why on earth they STILL let overtly left leaning political lyrics into their songs after 16 years to be the worst part of the song is beyond me. Is it just impossible now to get ONE fucking album from them without the word "nigger" in it?

Because almost all good musicians are Leftists, and Damon is in the right side of history. Also, hip hop and n1gger music was always a big influence on gorillaz from the get-go

i find it so cringe that they make a song to shit on turkmenistan and calling it dictatorship.
what do these aging surburban hipster fags even know jackshit about this country, its culture, its customs, its history...?
i'm not surprised that all those leftists are all hardcore expansionist and supporting whatever war the nato is in. they have been conditioned since early age to bring "justice" in the world.
leftists are the new christian colonizers.

single good post itt. project is garbage, nothing to even discuss

any band having a mascot and making the mascot center of attention is literal music for preteens or younger.

>ITT:
>newfags who are surprised and outraged that Gorillaz is political, and didn't get the message circa fucking Demon Days
>Gorillazfags who can't stop glazing a mid album
>insufferable dadrockfags who can't stop grinding and doing tricks on Robert Plant's dick, because they suck at listening to music and are afraid to branch out
>/pol/fags who can't listen to a song if the dancing jester on the cover is a cartoon, black, or a leftyfag
>one regular fag that's too afraid he'll exorcise the spirit of Rosa Parks if he types "nigger" once
>one or two Turkmenistanis who think anyone who lives anywhere with running water and electricity should care about their dumpster micronation
You're welcome. You can hide the thread now. Go listen to the S/T instead.

This album would've been better if all the rapping parts were change to the instrumental flute first song and its leitmotiv evolving. Also I don't know if its youtube but some of the mixes itself sounds squashed to me, not to mention the overused microphone effect on damon that some other anons pointed too. Its still cool with a lot of original ideas that said.

didn't expect much but yeah it's pretty good, definitely not perfect, ironically sometimes Damon's singing is the weakest element, he sounds the same in every song with the same megaphone effect and it makes a cool song sound dull
