>tfw after 60 years, Scaruffi's view "That the Beatles suck ass, actually" is basically canon
Has there ever been a greater rebuke of critical consensus? Boomers wrote books about the chord that was played at the beginning of Hard Day's Night, and now the band's entire career is basically irrelevant

That view isn't "basically canon" by any metric, you're coping. Beatles in 2026 remain as relevant as they were 10 or 20 or 40 years ago, while Scaruffi and /mu/ are utterly irrelevant and forgotten nowadays. Scaruffi's brief period of semi-relevance as an internet meme circa-2012 lasted less time than the Beatles' short career.

>my replacement internet father figure is in this picture with some random people. This signifies something important, even though tons of random people no one cares about go on trips and have meetings and get their picture taken all the time
You're absolutely melting down right now, even made a whole other thread over it

always appropriate:
"The seething din of millennials faded into the warming night, their cries of "the Beatles fucking suck" and "Boomers are to blame for all my failings" were dampened to silence by the mist, and drown by the morning dew.
But they'd be awake by early afternoon, only to start the plaintive ritual again; the melancholy wailing bouncing off the backlit screens and cereal boxes surrounding them, while members of other generations, working, raising families, contributors all, heard nothing of it. The local flora turned as deaf an ear as the fauna, and the cloudless sky, too; and so continued the spiteful blameful opera voiced by the directionless adherents of America's voluntary class of malding malaisial millennials."

this wouldn't be happening to you if you weren't like the lowest effort alt guy possible.
RYM/mu/critic fags always do just enough to not feel like normies (also usually known as functional members of society) but don't ever go beyond that because their goal has been attained. they don't get into music beyond the top 40 because they want more music and are looking for a certain sound, they do it because they need to be different, because they developed an identity as "the thinker", that they now have to adhere to at all costs lest it be broken and all that's left is the fact that they're utterly boring midwits, who on top of that are now behind on existing with others.
you're not really different, that's why so many people flock to the same sources, it's top 40 for people who identify as too good for top 40. if you really had opinions and tastes that you followed, you wouldn't care about who else is listening, or critics, or even normies, and most importantly, you wouldn't need to work for it, you would just need to be yourself. there's plenty of "normies", just like there's plenty of genuine weirdos, who have a much more interesting taste than /mu/-core retards. the truth that you refuse to accept is that you have nothing against normie music other than being insecure about liking it. and since you're certainly going to try to interpret it that way, no, i'm not saying everyone likes top 40 slop, i'm saying you specifically probably don't really have anything against it outside of what gets associated with it.

Nice cope. Why do people rate this pseud? I am not that big of a Beatles fan, because I prefer Small Faces, the Stones and the Kinks (in that order), but fact is that one amazing song alone, called Tomorrow Never Knows is better, more ahead of its time, more avant-garde if you will, than anything this hack rates. I think of Terry Riley or Faust or Popol Vuh or whatever fringe bullshit he comes up with in his memelord lists.
The point about the Beatles is that not only did they do it first, they did it best, and they were and are still the biggest because of that. Faggots like Scaruffi can't handle a band or artist being big because they rather, like every 3rd rate faggot limited 500 single on estrogen sparkled dual colour vinyl shitter band, think that that's some kind of negative and they know better. Except this faggot doesn't know shit and has very shit taste.
I won't take seriously anyone that rates the VU anything higher than a B rate pop band, same as The Doors. But I will concede that both of those have written a couple of catchy tunes (though not nearly as much as The Beatles). I'd rate Free As a Bird, that throwaway 90s song, higher than anything those bands ever did.
