that's the custom frame version of a riser stem
he's running his custom 0° stem upside down, which looks wierd
Still, the bars are levelish with the saddle which imo is a good default position for many riders.

nah they're pretty shit they just have great marketing. I set my quartz watch twice a year at daylight savings, those Rolexes need set once a month at the very latest and need full services as often as a quartz watch needs a $2 battery

yeah I don't know why it's so accurate, one time it was like 2 seconds off, obviously some months it will gain a few and some lose but it averages out to fuck all
>>2026926
It was a marketing thing the Swiss companies had to do to survive. Swiss companies used quartz until Japan could make them really cheap

most "watch guys" aren't wearing anything near that expensive. go on the average watch discussion online and see, it's mostly neckbeards who feel very smug about their ebay frankenfake HMT with "omega" crudely stamped over the original dial markers) that they pretend is actually in the same class as an original george daniels and therefore they're morally superior to any kind of timepiece that's actually accurate and usable in real life conditions. it's the watch version of the steel is real guys who convinced themselves that their gaspipe bso with a bent derailleur hanger and brakes that don't work has more "character" than an entry level allez or a domane that actually and you don't have to dismount every 3 miles and fish the chain out of the spokes

Cyclists who wear lycra are like that kid who turns up for a kickabout in full football kit, including studs and shin pads. Except they're adults so the cringe is multiplied by 1,000,000.
imagine you're going to take the car out for a spin, and you dressed up like Ayrton Senna on race day, even if you had a Ferrari everyone would know that you're a cunt.

Lol that hits so close to home. In my 20s I had a Sgt who was really into futbol (and probably tistic), so he later ordered PT (exercise) was going to be futbol. Mfer showed up in full cleats and shins while all of us were in standard issue PT gear. The other Sgts were so fucking mad they didn't let him organize a PT session for a long time lmao

My guy, 2 or 3 minutes is what a Daytona would get in a couple weeks, not in 6 months.
>b-but muh superlative chro-
O/+5 s/day out the factory or service workshop, expect it to drop over time.
Also the Sneedmaster, Type XX and Navitimer are nicer chronos that don't require the entire chronograph counter geartrain to be replaced during service.

>watch autists has entered the chat
Real time travelers like me wear two watches, one radio watch that syncs itself to the atomic clock daily for relative time and another basic bitch timex weekender to measure how much time I've dilated since epoch because I cycle so much I curve spacetime
>>
>>
>>2036903
A generic weekender with a commodity grade 32.768khz XO is good for about +-30spm, which is a roughly 1000 mile per second speed difference over the course of one month.
Since I doubt you can sustain such a cadence at your level of physical conditioning, I might suggest you are better served by a Symmetricom CSAC SA.45s such as the Hoptroff No.16. This would enable you to get a relatively (ha ha get it?) accurate time dilation readout without requiring an unreasonably large chainring or dangerous levels of EPO in your blood.

What really gets on my nerves is how walkists can have a big ass northface logo on everything, runners can have whatever the fuck runners are into wearing now (brooks?) but my tiny tiny castelli scorpion in my crotch where no one can even see it is OMG RIDING IN TEAM KIT SPAMMED WITH LOGOOOOOOS WTF DO YOU THINK YOU'RE SPONSORED LOSER FUCKING KILL YOURSELF STUPID FRED and this kind of behavior is encouraged by karens in the so-called cycling activist community, sorry for not spending the extra $200 for a "minimalist" product that does the exact same thing but doesn't have a logo?

If you're fredding out, which many here are, or keepbuilding and rebuilding your mtb differently because you have five forks and ten groupsets to swap out, you can afford a mechanical watch.
Not a Memetona because it's the most overrated and overpriced watch on the secondary market, but a Recuded Speedmaster or a TAG Carrera or even an old BP Leman chrono if you're lucky costs less than plenty of road bikes do now.

>will tell you that a Seiko 5 is actually better than a Rolex because it shows you're not a consoomer or something
I'm wearing a Seiko 5 right now as I type this and they're solid watches for the money but I just have one because I'm poor. Although if I weren't poor I probably wouldn't get a Rolex, I have my sights set on a Hamilton

It just shows you how small a fan base cycling really has. Everyone who isn't into cycling basically thinks it boils down to who is riding the lightest bike. They know nothing about the rules, the strategy, etc.
Among actual cycling fans, just about every one of them has a repro jersey of some sort, and they'll wear it to show they're part of a fan group.
