First negative interaction was on a paved bike path, me n a girlfriend were chilling on beach cruisers and out of nowhere some dude barks in all caps ON YERRR LEFTTT and like 15 of them flew by at mach 1 in their spandex and speedos or whatever, narrowing missing us on this narrow 1 lane bike path area. Totally uncalled for, this was the era where roadies were dying for Strava times lol

Another instance, around a campground with buddies on MTBs, going to the other area of the park, and an old man barks at us "EVERYONES ON THEIR GADDMAHMN iPOD" buddy had headphones on and we're chilling taking up most of a street/ road lane in a nearly EMPTY campground

And later years, seeing them in their spandex speedos at cafes and breweries, they earned every bit of their reputation

i was biking this morning and some dude in a van flashed his high beams at me. i had lights, properly aimed, wearing a bright colored jacket, and was far on the shoulder as possible. and this dipshit flashes his highs at me

an he did it a LOT too, it was the kind of lights where the highs and normal/low are separate assemblies, bro put on a little rave for me and then as he was almost out of my view kept his highs on. i checked my mirror and there was no driver behind me. he was 100% flashing at ME

Strava is bigger than ever, but they made a feature to report "dangerous segments" which means you can still track your time but if enough people tag a segment as dangerous it no longer displays KOMs for those segments. Meaning you can't see how your time measured up against the local freds. That pretty much eliminated the "stravasshole" problem overnight since all the dickheads trying to break the world record on your local MUP are only doing that on actual roads, where they're far less likely to collide with any grannies or toddlers or dogs.

I do not think op is complaining about stravassholes per se, I think he's just a clueless sperg who doesn't think about the possibility that other people are using the same path.
