Hiring increased sharply at outset of 2026, blowing past economists' expectations
Wednesday's jobs report provided a key barometer of the U.S. economy.
Hiring increased sharply at the outset of 2026, the year's first jobs report said, blowing past economists' expectations and besting sluggish performance from the previous year.
The U.S. added 130,000 jobs in January, according to the report, which marked a sharp increase from 50,000 jobs added in the previous month.

A single man absolutely destroyed Bidenflation.
In October a single man lowered the trade deficit to its lowest point in 2 decades.
SP500 at all time highs
DJIA all time highs
Real wages are *almost* all time high levels, they are only beat by the last time trump was president (before Biden crashed them)
Feels good

> But the data also had newly revised figures that paint an even weaker picture of last year's performance. The U.S. economy added just 181,000 net jobs last year, about 400,000 fewer than initially reported, and far from the 1.4 million jobs added in 2024.

Job numbers are going to be revised down. They’re certainly being made up by the department of labor currently, so I’ll wait for the actual numbers in a few months.

>Jesus christ we're gonna look back at this and wonder how there wasn't riots in the streets over it alone.
Dems want more poor people and won't have their minions riot during times when they're in control, like Biden's term.

Why are Republicans so fucking stupid? Donald Trump has spent his life grifting poor people to enrich himself (see Trump University). He placed tariffs on us, basically a tax on consumers, and gave tax breaks to the rich. He's literally anti Robin Hood. Lincoln, the father of the Republican party said we were a "government of the people, by the people, for the people" and modern gop have all been convinced that what we actually need to do is tax the poor more and the rich less. A government of the corporations, by the corporations, for the corporations. Thank you Republican voters. You're all to blame for where we are.
