I'd like to remind you, your life sucks because of Dodge. Their lawsuit against Ford resulted in a ruling setting the precedent that "a business has a legal obligation to maximize profit for its investors"
This ruling is why:
>your boss is always stressing you out because this quarter's numbers need to be better than last
>you can't get a raise, but shareholders are getting an increased dividend again
>every decision your boss makes is short sighted and retarded
>your spouse was fired because reducing headcount is a quick easy way to improve profits
>every product you love is either getting turned into a subscription or turning into the cheapest chinese plastic you can find

remider: henry ford wanted and excuse to not pay back money he owed the dodge brothers who provided the industrial machinery ford needed to build the model t. henry found out the dodge's wanted to start a competitor car comany and wanted to sabotage the dodge brothers' operations.
henry ford was literally a thieving lying nigger and an honorary jew. while the dodges won they died before they ever saw a cent.
in before a disingenuous liar posts the dodge logo from the 1920s that was never used on a single car when they were alive

Yeah it was bound to happen but it's s till easy to be mad at Dodge for it because they basically railroaded the decision (which would have happened regardless) into happening when it did. Buying part of a company to use its profits to spool off competition is obviously a move against Ford's interests, and he would've been stupid to not at least resist it.
Ideally he would have just bought them out but you can't force someone to sell their stocks. The only way Ford could have pulled that off would've been to sell his company into another larger one that was private, which would have forced a sell of minority shares.

thats exactly why they did that dumbass
regardless if they truly believed they could take their riches with them when they die, the hard fact is you can't, so the best way to keep the criminally dishonest from looting the place -- or worse, assuming the identity of the deceased and claiming their possessions including whatever power they wielded when alive -- is to bury everything and seal it off as best as possible.
also to be totally fair jews as a mass cultural group are also victims of zionist chicanery and i only harbor ill will against those who use religion as a cudgel against their fellow man to deceive and commit evil, regardless of which sandnigger sky magician they believe in.

Matthew 27, verses 15-26:
>Now it was the governor’s custom at the feast to release to the crowd a prisoner of their choosing.
>At that time they were holding a notorious prisoner named Barabbas.
>So when the crowd had assembled, Pilate asked them, “Which one do you want me to release to you: Barabbas, or Jesus who is called Christ?”
>For he knew it was out of envy that they had handed Jesus over to him.
>While Pilate was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent him this message: “Have nothing to do with that innocent man, for I have suffered terribly in a dream today because of Him.”
>But the chief priests and elders persuaded the crowds to ask for Barabbas and to have Jesus put to death.
>“Which of the two do you want me to release to you?” asked the governor. “Barabbas,” they replied.
>“What then should I do with Jesus who is called Christ?” Pilate asked. They all answered, “Crucify Him!”
>“Why?” asked Pilate. “What evil has He done?” But they shouted all the louder, “Crucify Him!”
>When Pilate saw that he was accomplishing nothing, but that instead a riot was breaking out, he took water and washed his hands before the crowd. “I am innocent of this man’s blood,” he said. “You bear the responsibility.”
>All the people answered, “His blood be on us and on our children!”
>So Pilate released Barabbas to them. But he had Jesus flogged, and handed Him over to be crucified.
1 Thessalonians 2, verses 14-16:
> For you, brothers, became imitators of the churches of God in Christ Jesus that are in Judea. For you suffered the same things from your own countrymen as they did from the Jews,
>who killed both the Lord Jesus and the prophets, and drove us out, and displease God and oppose all mankind
>by hindering us from speaking to the Gentiles that they might be saved—so as always to fill up the measure of their sins. But wrath has come upon them at last!

This may sound crazy but its true.
I inherited an original 1800s house rug that was the entrance rug for the Dodge Family Estate. I used it as a computer chair mat because I didn't want to scratch the hardwood floor of the old lumber baron mansion I was living in at the time, in Eau Claire Wisconsin.
I spilled so many loads on that rug that I had to use a carpet cleaner once a week. Eventually the rug was out for sale when I moved out of Wisconsin and didnt want to bring a bunch of shit with me. An assistant museum curator happened upon the rug and now its on display at Meadow Brook Hall.

>and you get a little slice of the pie.
Except it's never just a little slice of the pie. Instead, all publicly traded companies bend over backwards and make retarded choices just to eek out two more cents per share for the (((investors))). The cumulative weight of short sighted bullshit decisions eventually causes the business to stagnate because long term planning and investment can't ever take place. When all of the value has been wrung out of the business some VC vulture comes along and buys out the corpse of the business, fires everyone and sells off the parts for profits that benefit no one other than a handful of paper pushing asshats who never had a hand in building or maintaining the business to begin with.
>>
the fact of the matter is the Dodges weren't just shareholders, they ran the company that provided the industrial equipment that Ford needed to build cars in the first place. There would be no Model T without Dodge. Ford quite literally owed them money, refused to pay, and also tried to sabotage their company by redirecting dividends out of pure butthurt.

there are 168 hours in a week. 40/168 is 23%. so by entering into a voluntary agreement in which you provide value to your employer in exchange for less than 1/4 of your time, you are given the ability to do whatever you want with the other 3/4. you are also enriched by the working experience in which you are able to develop friendships, meet your future wife, learn valuable skills, and build your character during the 23% of the time you voluntarily spend at your job.

the 40 hour work week was based on the idea that you already had a wife to help take care of chores at home while you wageslaved.
car dependency extends the working day to well beyond 8 hours. 8 hours of wageslavery, 30 minutes unpaid lunch, 60 minutes daily average commute, 60 minutes of wageslaving preparation. that's 10.5 hours total. let's assume you sleep 8 hours a day, you get 112 conscious hours per week of which 52.5 are spent wageslaving or performing wageslaving adjacent tasks. that is 47% of your waking life from ages 18 to 68.

This mouth breather doesn't even realize how much wealth Ford created by raising wages so far above industry standards that it had a ripple effect across the whole economy. He's also pretending he didn't slash work hours on average by offering people to work less time for so much more money.
>Robert Whaples of Wake Forest University (who compiled many of the numbers used here) explores some of the unique circumstances of 1910-1940 in his analysis of Hours of Work in U.S. History. He noted that there was an unprecedented 18% increase in wages between 1914 and 1919 alone, and that many workers used this increase to "buy" some free time back.
What happened in January of 1914 again? The institution of the $5 a day wage? Ford>Dodge and its not even close.

>>
>>

there is no law requiring "line go up", retard. you need to stop getting your understanding of corporate law from infographics on /pol/.
Ford was sued in a CIVIL court for defrauding his investors. no different than if I lent you some money on the agreement you'll pay me back, only for you to instead blow it on hookers and coke and laugh in my face when I ask for my money back. no sane person or court in the world would side with you over me.

also to clarify this the legal precedent that a CFO/CEO cannot say "fuck the board" and do whatever he wants with the company's earnings also protects workers against higher ups embezzling funds and cutting pay. it protects all the people involved in a business against the whims of a single manager noatyer how much power he weilds.
it establishes a chain of command between the shareholders and the leader of a company, it does not disenfranchise workers. In fact it gives them more rights because workers can also be shareholders and have a say in the company's business operations without fear of retaliation.
what Henry Ford did was already very illegal and scummy, Ford V. Dodge Brothers just covered the bases by reinforcing the fact that even if your intentions are good and you plan to increase profits, you still can't defraud your investors by redirecting money you physically owe them by contract.
>>

Go be insufferably Jewish somewhere else, "line go up or else" is an absolute corporate fact, and pretending otherwise is fantasy
>>
>>
>>28858899
Easy. Disney tried to maximize profits by squeezing their customers like lemons and providing less than the bare minimum in compensation to make the line go up, only the line didn't go up, so they're in the "or else" phase. Xbox isn't a company, Microsoft is, and they're like Disney except with the employees instead of the customers.
>>
>>
>>
>>28858893
yes that's how business works dumbass
if line doesn't go up you are not making money and your business is unsustainable. Line must go up faster than your moneys value drops from inflation. that's not kikery that is literally how capitalism operates.
A business is not a charity, the first thing you learn in the auto tech trade is "NEVER DO WORK FOR FREE". If you're not getting paid, you leave and go somewhere you do.
Same is true for big business, it doesn't matter if you want to donate your dividends to starving children in Africa or build a monument to yourself, it's immoral and stupid to take money specifically earmarked for the people financially invested in you and spend it on whatever bullshit you want to do. When those people don't get the money that was promised them they will leave and go elsewhere and now you have no investors and no money so you can't make your product. Then the real jews, the creditors, come to take your factory away because you can't pay them either, as you spent all that money on Billy-Bob and Jimbo the Good Ol Boys what work in the riveting department. Oh and once the creditors take what's left of your business those guys who you went out of your way and redirected dividends for are now out of a job too.
>>
>>28859061
There's a difference between "I paid my workers fairly and still have money left to put back into the business and live comfortably" and "I reinstated chattel slavery and am purchasing a 3rd superyacht with my fuckhuge profits by screwing everyone else"
>>
>>28859234
Shares in a company are a contract between you and that company, and the owner of that company cannot suddenly decide either way that you are not going to get the money you signed the contract for.
If Henry Ford had won that would have established it was perfectly legal to do exactly that: reinstate chattel slavery and buy a superyacht with the money that you had promised to your investors. That would make it perfectly legal for say, Elon Musk to rugpull his own companies' stock, run back to South Africa to buy out the government and kill all the niggers. Would a large amount of people consider this to be a good and productive thing? Probably, SA is a shithole. but that doesn't change the fact that he, and the people who invested in his companies signed a contract (the stock) which says they get a certain percentage of their investment back. If you sign a contract you are morally and legally obligated to fulfil it, regardless if your alternative use case for the funds is more profitable or not.
so technically no, there is no difference between those two concepts. If you violate a contract to save a kitten from a tree you are still violating a contract. most people would consider this worthwhile because kittens are great, but when you have 14,000 kittens who need saving from trees and you have to violate every contract you have ever signed to do it, then you got problems. and thats what Henry Ford did.
>>
also also in 1914 Ford stock was owned by roughly 8 people, and it was a private company meaning basically only people who personally knew Henry Ford or worked for him had stock in FoMoCo, so invariably not a single one was a Jew. The Dodges owned a mere 10% of the company which entitled them to 3.8 million dollars in dividends, and Ford himself owned 52%, entitling him to TEN MILLION in dividends from his own company. that's 10 million in 1914 dollars, equivalent to 314 million today. He wasn't some poor destitute man desperately trying to make it he was a keen business magnate who was sitting on more money than even he knew what to do with.
The people in his factories earning $5 an hour couldn't even conceive of the amount of money their employer had.
