holy fuck. i sat in one when they first came down here. the overhead 360°camera was interesting. took me a bit to get used to the noise generator when the hybrid kicks in at low speeds.
and yeah when you stand beside it, it's xbox hueg like the dodge rams.

These are technically midsized in America.

They should give it a supra front to promote the supra joining the V8 Supercars.

Oh yeah I know you guys get even bigger shit over there lel. Our roads just weren't designed for such wide vehicles. Parking spaces barely fit them length-wise too.

talking about that i went on a company-funded ride along event yesterday. holy fuck it was insane. they brake at the absolute last possible moment and you think the car could spin out with how hard it's turning but it just stays planted. the toll it takes on your body though, mad respect to the people that go through endurance racing.
oh and the way the engines just shake up your innards as they roll up or fly past, even when they're 100 feet away, goddamn son.

I should add, all of the other "US Utes" are like this too. Along with the Camaro (when it was still sold here a few years back).
The Mustang however is built RHD, hence why it is significantly "cheaper"

If a Tacoma is midsized where are the REAL small trucks? See why it's stupid calling a Taco a midsize when there's no small truck available? Also half tons are so insanely common that they might as well be the midsize option especially when daily driving a 3/4 ton is becoming more and more common.

I've heard these things are insanely unreliable. Its crazy because Ford has basically proven you can make a reliable v6 TT in a pickup truck if you don't cheap out of the manufacturing. The 3.5 ecoboost in the F150s I've heard basically nothing but good things about with many over 300k miles now with only minor work done. Its pretty shocking to see Toyota fall behind this much on reliability.

I don't really care, we had them here a long time ago. Redditors get unreasonably upset over them.
Which is ironic, because on one hand they'll claim there is no Aussie culture and that immigration is the best thing in the world, but on the other hand will say these big utes don't fit our way of life.

The 5% of it that's developed is still American sized. Even the overpopulated cesspools like Toronthole and Hongcouver are extremely spread out and open compared to other overpopulated cesspools around the world. People drive big vehicles and huge trucks just fine in downtown centers and don't need to resort to driving little euro cuckboxes like you people.

I think that sentiment is really long gone, every normie has some big ass SUV and farmers/tradies have those Chevys and Rams. The only people in the old utes are bogans that are attached to old aussie culture and don't want to buy anything non-Australian (ironic since Holdens was a GM company and most of them were based off Opels anyway). Pretty much any work site I see these days has a Ram or an F150 on it, some of those new and close together suburbs that are getting churned out look pretty much like something you'd see in Texas now since the houses are cookie cutter and all the work vehicles are American pickups.
