Well I could've posted any number of Aussie utes, or American Ranchero's and El Camino's but sticking with the theme of home made conversions..

My dad had an odd habit of turning things into pickups; a Silver Shadow, Cortina GT Estate, Mercedes Fintail, and pic rel - an E30, all were cut down into pickups when he got bored. Think either the Merc or the Rolls got an extra axle, too. Really wish I had a picture of those.

Fuck, I used to hate these small trucks when I was a kid in the early 90's, but now I love them so much and I hate all the big plastic ugly monstrosities they make today. Bring back small, simple, metal trucks!

I was thinking about how to improve this concept, or how I would havev done it. Start with an E60 to gain some length, use a shortened trailer for the bed, some supporting structure and other parts. No need to spend 9000 hours in paint though, some ukrainian dude build exctly that

yeah there's a healthy middle ground between some people today that broadcast every coffee they have and our parents that didn't even preserve some major projects they finished. iktf

But I would like to one day see a conversion like these in a realistic utilitarian look. You know with some steel wheels, plain white paint, no aftermarket headlights etc. I wonder if you could fool some people into thinking that was not a custom conversion

King of the New Build estate. I bet he has to peel out at 5am to make it to the build site on time to keep his sweet ride from being repo'd

Naw dude.
Those guys are buying F350 King Ranch 4x4 duallys.
I used to do bracket racing at the strip and the H.A.L.O guys (Houston Area Lightning Owners) were all doctors and lawyers and shit. They've never done manual labor a day in their lives andcwere probably billing clients while they were at the track.
Viper/Lightning/Suoersnake trucks are usually paid for in cash (covered in cocaine).
