I can fix that for $6 with some acetone to clean it and JB weild. two tubes of it. I did my own s124 1987 Mercedes radiator summer 2024 with lasting success!

Do GM even use metal anymore?

2017 Sierra with the 5.3, had to replace the Radiator, the AC condenser, the starter, the entire socket for the bulbs on all for corners, the backup camera, the switch for the towing stuff, the coils, immediately after the warranty ended. FUCK nu-GM

Psst... Rip Van Winkle... no company has put all metal radiator in normal vehicles in the last 40 years.

Your fault for purchasing a vehicle made during covid + every chev ever has btfod the lifters and/or the auto slop boxes attached to it

Buy a new radiator.
They aren't super expensive or hard to do.
Plastic end caps are crap, but that's how 99% of rads are built since the 1990s

Never broke a 700r4 or 60e
200,000+ mile trucks or cars, no issues.
But I also changed ATF every 25K miles.

my third gen ranger blew out at the plastic, had to duct tape it up and limp home.

Im gonna replace the cheap chink shit amazon rad I've put in as in interim with a real metal one.

Dont know why manufacturers love costcutting and making shittier products that don't last.

Back in the day metal radiators still cracked and otherwise failed (corrosion pin holes, failed solder joints, etc). Radiator shops used to be a thing, they're just disposable instead of repairable now.
