The Audi R10's lack of noise resulted in lower driver awareness of what the car was doing. This actively led to some crashes due to drivers being unaware of wheelspin which would have been hinted at with a more prominent exhaust note.

A key feature in the Toyota GR GT3 design brief was that the engine note needed to be prominent enough to keep the driver aware of engine RPMs without needing to look at the tachometer.

Problem is also other people's cars around you. This is how I know you've never lined up to do a pull, if your competition has a loud ass car it fucks with your ability to sense your machines rpm. A shift light fixes this permanently also fuck Toyota. Wrenchlet.

Checked. Very interesting. I should get a loud v8 car.

That works only in straight-line scenarios, but absolutely agreed on the noise. Every other run I've done recently has been against straight-piped Hardleys and christ almighty that's all you can hear.

A Professional driver should be able to both hear and feel Engine RPMs.
That's sloppy shit.
Even amateur track rats can do that
