BMW is truly way ahead of its European competitors. First hydrogen cars, now robots building their new cars. I can't wait for 33% cheaper BMWs

But when exactly did BMW surpass its main competitors Mercedes and VW (Porsche, Audi)? It feels like it was more equal just 15 years ago

Bmws are trash, whole engine is plastic, every model has McDonald's struts, every model has the exact same slushbox

What is the use of humanoid robots in manufacturing?
The thing doesn't need to go and take a shit, so why give it legs with fancy control algorithms?

hey that anon makes a good point aren't cars mostly made by big robot arms and conveyer belts already? what are the humanoid robots for? maintaining the big industrial robots? but then who does maintenance on the humanoid robots? none of this makes sense seems more like a marketing stunt to me

It's crazy how BMW can just buy completely dead and trash brands like Mini and Rolls Royce and turn them around into status symbols. Only BMW has this power. You just know if VW had done the same, they would have been bankrupt already.

new minis are junk, rolls royce used to be good before bmw bought them.

New Minis are considered extremely reliable and are cool looking.

How are they junk?

Minis have used B-series engines for over a decade. They are fine. The prince engines were dogshit.
The service advisor at the dealership told me a story of a customer calling in about the genie light. They were told to turn off the car and call a tow truck. Half an hour later the customer called again and said they drove it home. Needless to say they needed a new engine.

Lol dude they're all dogshit, it's literally made out of plastic, so is the transmission

>they drove it home
lol i would too, he already knew it was going up for sale
>>
>>28862908
this may sound weird but you actually get more money for a used car if it has a functional engine
>>
>>28862910
when you have money you know when to just take the loss lol, dude just wanted to go home. you are poor and a wrenchlet btw.

It was a Mini, it was unlikely that it was a "dude"
I have more tools and cars than you, thanks

That's a marketing, anon. Industrial robots and some humans are good enough, no need for humanoid ones

BMW won. Simple as.

Well 15 years ago was 2011, when bmws had a reasonable base engine (n52) and two steaming piles of shit in the n63 and n54. I’m not sure about Audi or Mercedes, but they must have also had equally problematic engines. Since then, bmw has made two engines that are reliable enough (b46/58) while the competition has not. That’s one big reason.
