all those "cool cars" were always in terrible condition. if the parts were fine then the body was rusted and of the body was fine then interior was moldy no matter what the owner fucked something up. it's larping as car mechanic the fucking engine is "quirky" but chunks of shit fall out onto the oil pan. (still wouldn't buy used from a dealer though I prefer joe shmoe inspite of it all)

that's because the car you're trying to buy was 10 years old back then but now it's like 30 years old I'd say you waited to long to buy it but it still would've degraded from the passage of time anyways making mandatory repairs and replacements to various parts inevitable

You can still find cool shit for the low, but it's only under certain circumstances that synchronizes with your availability to buy.
Sometimes, moments in life break someone to give it up and their supposed dream becomes their burden. They just want it gone, and you're the one to lift it off them. It's fucked up yes, but it's just passing the torch of whatever shitbox you're after. There's less cool shit now, but it's not all completely gone. Marketplace and offerup sometimes has the best shit, I've done some sketchy deals but kept my cool and bagged some steals on wheels. Just keep looking or die trying, try different key words in searches or if your car has a verbal nickname then try searching that instead and you'll find more options.
