Honestly I think swamp/ wetlands environments are the easiest out of any to not just survive, but thrive. You’re literally surrounded by all the easily available food and fresh water you would ever need. Only thing is the storms and the flooding, but other than that, a veritable Garden of Eden with a smorgasbord of food available 24/7

Everything is still frozen and cold here and bullfrog season isn't for months.
Since I'm here though do you find gigging effective? last time I went out looking for frogs with some friends I got more shooting them with an air rifle then scooping them up with a net than anyone else did with a gig.

swamps are not widespread so most people fear them. it's not like normal biomes. you accidentally brush the wrong tree limb and you have a thousand spider hatchlings on you.
