I have one of these Japanese style wood saws. Very thin, super sharp and cuts through wood like butter.

Those are cute.

Folded it, now what?

I have a bahco laplander that I'm very happy with, I carry it sometimes to clear deadfalls on the trail. If I was going to be going out to do dedicated trail work or if I knew I needed to be capable of tackling larger trees I'd bring a bow saw like >>2862211

I have the 21 and it's a beast. i think the other style of saws might make more sense for thin limbs the size of a finger or slightly bigger, but the boreal makes quick work of actual thick stuff

>bahco laplander for hard use
>silky gomboy for faster cutting with more breakable blade
>cheapest biggest bow say you can find if "umm it doesn't have to fold all the time"
avoid this kind of crap

I've been using the Sven saw since I was a scout 3 decades ago. Always going to be my pick for processing wood at camp.

Silky big Boi
Or katana if you need big logs cut.

Yeah, there are certain things that I buy the cheap version of because I'm okay with just fucking one up and getting a new one. This would go into that category

Silky big boy with a spare blade but I dont hike with it any more. It's a larp tool for now. If I do ever want make a perma shelter with it I can.

You read my mind. They make chainsaws incredibly small now as well if I don't want to worry about charging anything
